1. Make sure Windows Firewall is turned off. I have no idea if it causes problems with DAOC, but it does cause a lot of problems.
2. It could be your etheret settings: Right-click My Computer and select Properties. Next, click on the HARDWARE tab and the click on the DEVICE MANAGER option. Under the section for NETWORK ADAPTERS, right click your network card and select Properties. Under the advanced TAB under MEDIA TYPE, set the value option on the right to 10mb half duplex mode.
3. It could be software conflicts. Things that boost internet performance or black webpages such as Net Nanny should be turned off. I used to have problems when I got a lexmark printer. Turning it off solved the problem (reinstalling the driver permanently solved the issue for me).
It could be a video card issue, more with ATI than Nvidia:
1. Make sure you have a directX9 video card 2. Install the latest drivers
It could be another file error. Massive downloads and patches cause problems, espically if something stops and restarts the download.
1. Go through the error log like before. Look for the file and follow the instructions as before. 2. Do a complete file check
Other than that, it looks like a phone call to tech support: (703) 934-0169
