The offical SWg forums are just mean today. They just beat Rogue_5 with a stick on the forums and the Galactic Senators are getting it up the ass from the people they suposedly represent. Not the normal stuff i mean they are going all out it seems. I know i know its always something being bashed there but man it seems anyone with a SOE connection is getting it and they going personal.
Im sure we will soon see an influx of new people here as the bans add up but damn ...
I knew SWG and SOE were disliked but now it seems there is real honest hatred going on towards anyone working there / used ot work there / thinking about working there / volunteers for them.
As much as i dislike the game and the decisions made that got it here ( and question the ethics of certain people at SOE , if i did some of these things in my business i would be in jail) i never actually got as far as hate. Its almost like a train wreck ,i cant look away , im small for that but i just cant.
Anyway how can a company tolerate this massive outcry and continue to claim success when even the the best fans they have can only come up with "just give it 6 more months"? This does not make sense to me as a business owner in any way shape or form. Can someone explain it , i mean really explain it? this is really defying logic form my point of view , so my point of view cant be the correct one.
I have been with SWG since the 1st week (except for the CU) and up until a month ago NGE , so i KNOW the history and the actions that led us here. I am looking for the why and the logic that proves that the why leads to profit and a happy community.
Maybe i am missing some big picture , i have to be ...

what im wonder about is why does SOE think this is the correct approach to customer service:( editing out all the name calling , child-like bashing and paraphrasing my translations of the threads)

SOE/LA have never valued the SWG community. This is why they went to focus groups having a community in their forums more than willing to try out new stuff.

To me, it seems the tone of the official forums have been getting worse and worse lately. The last publish failed to deliver for many people, and now they are getting fed up (finally, i mean wtf, 7 months to realize its all crap? lolz). and then the all but complete silence from the devs since the patch. >.> that doesnt inspire much confidence.

Oh, there's some star wars and comunity and some other nonsense somewhere in there, but we don't let it get in the way of the business.

uh .. this part wasnt a joke ... a senator actually posted that line on the forums this morning ( it was deleted after about 10 minutes and 8 pages later) wont say who but i dont have to give you 3 guesses do I?

Actually, Senator Meatpuppet made that comment along with some others in Episosde 40 of the Galaxy Report (52 minutes into the episode) and that's what got that started -- referring to anyone with a "white" or "purple" tag on the SWG forums.
I didnt know it was said in the podcast ( dont listen to um) i just know when it was posted this AM it was a guy saying WTF!! and he presented it as ifwas on the forums earlier but deleted , then HIS long thread got deleted as people noticed. Shame on me tho, i bit and took the bait and didnt check my source lol.
Still, nice remark from people who are the "voice" of the community isnt it?

And as for uncalled for - no i feel they have to be held accountable to someone and when the only way left is "word-of-mouth" you deserve what you get. I am not worried about whats being said I think they have been asking for it for years , im wondering why SOE feels that people are so stupid that they can dis-respect them to their face , lie to them , call them things and THEN expect more people to join in the game.
Nect time your at work have one of the volunteers /interns call a customer a douchebag if that customer asks a question see what happens , or have one of the staff sit and while a customer is trying to ecplain their issue have that staff person talk loudly on a cell phone while obviously ignoring the customer see what happens there.
I guess the reason they can get away with it, is that people let them . Thats the only reason I can think of that they still have a single customer.
