HERE'S HOW TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SPECIAL OFFER: · Buy Lords of EverQuest, the next generation of real time strategy games AND · Register Lords of EverQuest with an existing EverQuest account on SOEGames.net before 11:59 p.m. PST on January 3rd, 2004 AND · Keep your EverQuest account in good standing throughout a special phase of EverQuest II beta
HERE'S WHAT YOU GET: · An extra 30 days tacked onto the end of your current EverQuest subscription cycle AND · An invitation to participate in a special phase of EverQuest II beta (tentatively scheduled for spring, 2004)
I was going to buy lords of everquest mostly for the game itself but the beta invite was also apealing, but i think thats BS how other than in the fine print they dont say anything about having to be playing Everquest at the same time. Of note however, Spring 2004 for Beta.

Go to either the Sony Website and click on the "Discover the Paths" button, which is a link leading to the paths, or go to EQLounge.com (which is where I found it) and there is a link there.
Strange that they havent put it up on their own website though... but i'll assume it's real. No ones gonna put that much effort into making that up... lot of content.
EverQuest II will feature 16 races upon launch. These races will include everything in the original EverQuest, and Ratongas (rat men). Unlike the original EverQuest, the Vah Shir will be replaced by the "Kerran" in this game. Here is an exact list of the races that will launch with EQII:
Half Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Ogres, Trolls, Humans, Barbarians, Erudites, Gnomes, Halflings, Dwarves, Iksar, Frogloks, Kerrans, Ratongas
Classes
EQII will contain the luxury of an exciting new class system featuring 47 classes. All players will begin their journey without choosing any class whatsoever. They will be refered to as class "Commoner". Once they reach level 6, they will have the opportunity to choose between Fighter, Priest, Mage, Scout, or Artisan. At level 15, they will make yet another decision. For example, a fighter can become a warrior, crusader, or brawler. At level 30, it is time to make the final decision. A crusader, for instance, will get to choose between paladin or shadow knight.
The list below will make EQII's class system very easy to understand.
Legend: Red = Level 6-14 Blue = Level 15-29 Green = Level 30-100

But it is on their website. Just look for the link on their site that says, "Discover the Paths". It will lead you to some partially empty class trees that you guess and fill in by dragging class titles into little blocks and hitting combine.

EQII gets the credit for the class tree, not EQLounge. I made a mistake when writing the article . Check out the post again for a link to the correct website
well ive only discussed it with a couple of people and from our combined research the only thing i could come up with is after summer 2004 givin that Beta testing goes excellent and the price is probably impossible to estimate but i'll take an educated guess and say 30-40% / month more than Everquest.
I have been following EQ2 since it was announced, I am guessing the Beta should be released somewhere inside the next 1 - 2 months. SOE Generally has a testing phase of about 2 - 3 Months this was proven with SWG, EQ including all Expansions and PS. If all goes well EQ 2 should go Live somewhere around June. Key word being if "ALL GOES WELL".
They have announced that they will be releasing EQ2 under the SOE All Access Plan which is priced @ 21.99 monthly this covers Planetside, EverQuest 1 and All the Station Games, Hopefully they dont decieded to bring the price up when EQ2 comes out.
This said EQ2 should be released @ the same price as SWG if you wish to by the product seperatly. Remember they want business with EQ2 not loose any so I think pricing should be fair. Also with the failure of SWG's opening days of live (People paid for access but authent servers down) I think SOE will make sure EQ2 will come with a SOLID Live Game and not 1 million and 1 patches.

This is all official, and correct, according to Sony's Everquest II Class List
Legend: Red = Level 6-14 Blue = Level 15-29 Green = Level 30-100

We are hoping around April, which would be an early release
I would easily expect the subscription to be $15. That seems to be where SOE is going with there prices
