PvP or Pve?

paranoidpvpparanoidpvp Member Posts: 539
I want to know what your favorite part of GW is! PvP, PvE or a little of both? I loved PvE, got through the missions past the ring of fire, then started to do alot more PvP. I love it! It actually requires skill and teamwork actually plays a role in the outcome of a match. Now what do you think?

Ya gotta do both. No sense in not playing a game you payed for.

Unless you're one of those crazy people that bought the game only for the PvP content. Crazy people.

I prefer PvE on my side. I've been in the random arena sometimes and it's fun but I don't stay there for long. Right now in my guild, we're training for GvG battles, but I've never done one.

PVE = Player vs. Environment. Coop missions are an example of PVE. You and a group of friends go into a mission and beat computer-controlled enemies. It's you against the game, basically.

PVP = Player vs. Player. This is where you go into the arena or what have you, and your character fights another character controlled by another player, rather than by the computer.

  • I prefer PvE without hesitation but sometimes a little PvP can be fun.

Defiantly not the PvE. Pain to get to new towns because there's no mounts, and you have to fight everything to come across.

I like PvE a lot better, but i do the occasional PvP. there is just so much more to be gained from PvE, and it can be really fun. PvP can be fun, but can sometimes last for too long.

I LOVE both! Pve is fun cus you travel through a cool story line, and once u finish the story line and you have your character to what you want it to be, then you can PVP and unlock some more skills so that you can make PVP characters and get even better and have even more fun!

    thats the point of pve

reaching a new place is the goal , besides drops you get on the way and the story line

I think PvE is best because i hate to fight other players... I loose all the time...
But it don't matter... I can't connect to anet

There can be no triumph without loss. No victory without suffering. No freedom without sacrifice.

I would have loved the pve, but hell you cant bear the game if all the people aroudn you jsut FARM 24.7,raer chance you will beat the game without having to wait a week for a group to do the actual PvE game.

Bang on there.  PvE is not about mapping the whole game in a few daysl or finding the absolute laiest way of doing things.  It's the challenge of exploring, finding new loot, doing quests and making new friends and getting into guilds.  If someone doesn't like that they should go play some retread FPS where everything is the same as every other clone of it out there.

This is one of those topics that keeps on going like the whole "Is GW a MMORPG or not?"  PvP is the primary reason behind GW, the PvE is value-added.  You can get better loot, make some cash, unlock items for a PvP character, etc.  It's all spelt out nicely on the GW website.  I personally enjoy the PvE and am getitng into the PvP side of things.  I've been playing this game since beta testing of Prophecies and still enojoy the PvE.
