Hero Online, Closed beta comming up, but..

It is very hard to find information arround this game, I found one link on mmorpg.com and that is the official site.

Closed Beta launches on June 15, 2006 (11:00 AM U.S. Pacific Time GMT -8:00)

I could not find any type of forum or discussion board on their official site.

For me this game looks like something to try out and therefore I want to dig some information about it.


What do you guys know about this game? any database sites? fansites ?

    I just signed up for it aswell, despite initially thinking it'd be yet another asian grind-fest clone - that doesn't seem to be the case! :)

    If you go to their official site, theres a link that lets you see all of the interviews they had. The interviews describe the game alot more than their teaser. Im playing the game for the pet-system, imma be a hunter selling pets to random people and be rich

    I tried to translate with Google.. but it doesn't work.. play the game long enough though and you start to pick up what it says.

    ive tried regerstiring for an account but it keeps telling me to verify my id name for uniqness so i check for it aand its ok  buut it gives me the same message over and over am i doing something wrong ? thnx

    The problem with registering with Hero is that you need to do it in Explorer only. It doesn't work well with FireFox. I think that is what your problem is.

    I've been playing the Korean version for about 3 weeks now.. don't really understand it all but HEY.. it's ok. It's pretty bad ass if you ask me. People flying.. fighting on horses.. basicly 16 classes of people.. that are really balanced. All in all I think it's one of those games that will feed the need for most of the true MMORPG gamers. It's for sure diffrent.

    I got a key and registered, so I guess I will be trying it out.  Sounds like it might be an interesting game.  I'll see you all there.

    For the last three weeks many people have been complaining about what they feel are dev/mod condoned hack-cheats.

    People spawning/zoning into areas are being killed by AE effects. While those people enter that "safe area" they are unable to respond to combat/attacks (having zoned into a "safe area" they are unable to initiate combat,) and are thus easy kills to others just outside the "safe area" in the open pker area where it is allowed to initiate combat against other pc. The devs lamely respond if you go into pker area you have to live with getting killed by other pc, just ignoring those getting killed not only are unable to fight back (better hope your connection is sufficent that you are not dead before the game and your client syncs and you have enough controll of your char to gulp a bunch of HP recovery potions and make it out of the zone-in "safe area" to beat down all the gankers going after easy kills) but are in actual "safe zones," those complaining it is an abuse are basically being told things are going as they are intended, live with it!

    That...sucks. But oh well, since I have the chance to test it for myself I guess there's no harm to be done. ID check keeps timing out during registration though, what gives? I'm even using IE

    u said beta opens 15th 1100 PST. does that mean dl also opens 12th 1100 PST?

    Sure it may suck... hell I reckon you're right it probably is trash but the point of beta testing is to take the rough with the smooth - it MAY just turn out better than expectedand developers ask people to beta test so thet can improve on mistakes etc.

    I'm giving it the benifit of the doubt, other people should too.

    It took about a day to relize that it didn't work with firefox. I was like duhh. anywas I hope it turns out to be fun
