The release date is, at minimum, a joke to veterans. 15 november 2006

remember , at the summmits they said no new expansion this year ... they would instead focus on fixing bugs and the game in general ...

cant wait to see how this turns out , going to suck if this is a new expansion they swore they were not working on since they were focusing on bugs.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I bet the expansion was continued by LA devs while SOE fixed the base. Semantics FTW.
Actually, when the NGE is "finished" they cannot say: hey guys, now we have fixed this, just wait some more months while we finish the stopped expansion.
No they will have the bullet in the charger already. Now I'm not saying this is bad...

What's amusing about this one, though, is that there's only been one expansion between the last compilation (Total Experience) and this planned compilation, that being Trials of Obi-Wan. I would tend to think this means they're planning another expansion or some kind of episodic content between now and then.

Either that, or they're really desperate for subs in that they're just going to take a used product, rewrap it, and put it up for sale again.

Yeah, but the Total Experience can no longer be brough.  If you want to play SWG now and then get all the expansions you need to pay $20 for the core game (or I think $40 if you get it with the all-in-one SOE pack), $25 for ROTW and then $30 for ToOW.  If they do an all in one pack with everything for $30 then you'd be making a pretty big saving.

And it also means that SOE and LA are getting very desperate. I have always thought that the NGE would be reevaluated at years end. From there the decsion would be made to continue with the game or end it. I think this well be their last desperate attempt to increase subs and revenue. If it doesn't work, it is over. I am getting the feeling SOE and LA have taken a NGE or nothing stance. If a fully developed NGE doesn't turn this around, and I pretty confident it won't, the plug will be pulled.

SOE knows what you like... You don't!
And don't forget... I am forcing you to read this!

This will be a tidy little SWG package for the holidays....the core game and all expansions. I believe the majority of sales will be to the vets/current players because of some 'must have' incentive gift that will certainly be included .

No...they are much more effecient with doing things covert, like the NGE, and holding to the date of release (while denying it).
