Questions before I buy

in Lineage 2

Before I buy this game  I have a few questions about it.

1. I have a ASUS Radeon 9550 graphics card, willI be able to run this game?

2. I can play for 3-6 hours a day. How long will it take to get to lvl 40?

3. People say that everyone has to buy money to be successful in this game is it true?

4. Whats the healing classes in the game and how well can they solo?

5. Which class is the my needed?

    1. Yes. I had a 9800 pro and ran the game on full detail the majority of the time

    2. A while. Maybe a month or two but it varies on a lot of things.

    3. No.

    4. Elven Elder, Shillein Elder, and Bishop. They can't solo.

    5. Most needed classes...

    Swordsingers, Blade Dancers, Healers, Orc Mystics, Elven Summoners, Warlocks, and Prophets.

    Swordsingers and Blade Dancers are probabaly the most fun to play out the support classes. The others are kind of mind numbing to level. Healers and orc mystics are so so.

    You should be fine. L2 has reletively low system requirements and still looks better then most games out there.

    I would caution you about leveling to fast. You will bomb out in L2 if you don't learn the economy and that takes time. Racing to level cap is the surest way to hate this game. It has a tough grind so if all you focus on is the leveling you will get burned out. Also you need a good guild to do well in L2. That also can take time. If you are the type of player to judge whether a game is good or bad based on how long it takes you to level, you may be heading for issues in L2.

    No, they are the same knuckheads who say there are more farmers then players and that there is no problem with farmers in WoW.

    4. Whats the healing classes in the game and how well can they solo?

    Personally I think most of the classes have some utility. There are no "useless" classes like in many other games. Classes tend to have extream roles (and weaknesses) They are more or less based on playstyle. 

    (personal opinion, Asian games are much better a creating fleshed out balanced and complete mechanics then our North American designers who tend to rush things out incomplete and unfinished then rebalance and revamp later. I never played an Asian game that took all my skills away then replace it with another system or completely remove or redid any core game mechanic, U.S. designers have several examples of this. The most extream examples of this are SWG and EQII, the game you are playing today may not necessarily be the game you will be playing next week)

    Yes Im back,

    I rolled a new character. No game should be allowed to look this good

    EQII - to dull to play (for the first time ever I actually started to doze off playing this one)

    SWG - to broken to play

    No you dont have to, off course it make you lvl faster but cheating takes out all the fun off games

    Shillen Elder, Half Healer offensive buffer class every groups want one so easy to get partys with but can´t really solo

    Bishop only a Healer, has the highest Rezecrution Skills, but a bit hard to find party´s with and can´t really solo, can nuke undead mobs tho but still slow

    Elven Elder, Half Healer half defensive buffer, has hard to find party´s to and can´t solo either

    Prohpet only a Buffer, if your in a 5, 6 man party you buff your group and then rest for 20 minutes until you have to rebuff again, don´t go this class Ncsoft hasen´t paid to much attentation to em since they´s to many who has boxed Prohpet´s
    no idea iff they can solo tho...

    Bishop, Elven Elder and Prohpet has hard times to find party´s sometimes but with a good clan it shoulden´t be to hard


    5. Which class is the my needed?

    Depends on server, SwS are probly needed on every server, but BD´s arent so Rare on Teon, they might be on other servers tho..
    but most party´s need either Shillen Elder/Warcryer, Bladedancer or Swordsinger, since hunting without buffs tends to suck

    But go for a class you know your gonna like...

    That's not right man. There's no need to rest. Just go melee with the rest of the party. MP regen is still the best when u walk, and u played your time between 1 buffround and another. If you play a PP in the way you described, it's just annoying for the most of ppl out there.

    I did that with a 4k mps pp and shitty items :)

    I did it from 45 to 65, so that don't depend on lvls :)

    I'v tryed, really. Walking, I regen the same amount of MP that I regen when i sit (well, at least soooooooooo similar - differences by 1 or what.. pointless to take care of :P).

    Tell those pp to type /walk and fight melee. They'll figure out if they can do it.. but, with me, 4k MPs @ 65 with a low C grade robe, it worked just right all the times.

    After 60 and lvling up, I was called always from new lvl-range grp, so, high lvl-range grps have high lvl PPs, and the other were on other parties.

    On our ally we had like 5 PPs over 75 already. Now they must be much more :)
