Are they real? I usually stick to the phrase: "If it sounds too good to be true, it is." I always thought that the free x-box and other console offers were scams--and most are--but there are a couple sites which it is possible to get free stuff if you do it right, and I know because I knew a kid who got a free iPod. Just wondering if the same was true for online surveys. Anyone have any experience with this matter?

Sounds like something I might want to look into.

To get into Pinecone you will have to sign up by finding a random banner on a website (unless they've changed it and have a signup page somehwere now). If you google any variation of pinecone banner or whatnot you'll eventually find sites that will list where to find these banners. I haven't a clue where they are now as I haven't searched for one in a long long time. I know that sounds strange and perhaps a bit scammy but that is how they've worked on getting new members for many years.
I usually get anywhere from 2 to 4 surveys a month. No you will not get rich but I enjoy them. I do not get millions of spam emails from being a member of Pinecone either. In fact the only email I get is from pinecone at the address I signed up for.
I've never done a survey...
BUT!
