In six months, there will be newer MMOs and new Single player RPGs that will still have more to do than DDO. Everything added so far, should have been in the initial release along with the rest of the PHB items, classes, races and at least 1 Eberron class or additional race.
You only get 1 chance at a launch and its hard to make up ground with subscribers after that point.
Unfortunately you're right Shurijo. The game works for me, I really enjoy it, but DDO really needs to step it up to compete. I don't mind a lot of features not being in the initial release, but then again, I'm a very casual player these days. I can wait. Any other gamer I'm sure would become frustrated and quit. Even though the game may not be relevant in 6 months (yes, I know its hardly now) they are working hard and I am quite curious to see what Turbine will do with it.

Yeah now that I think about it I think AoC will kill DDO. But maybe AoC will suck. The only other game I'm looking forward to, other than AoC is PSU. So DDO still has a chance to win me over.

Turbine had their chance and they blew it. They released a game with a weeks worth of content for the serious gamer and now there isnt enough DnD rpers to fill the servers.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that's because they're you; it's a bit hypocritical to say that people who roleplay can't save the server when you yourself know what that would mean to the community and don't try.
A week is probably pushing it. If your so-called serious gamer enjoys tearing through DDO is such a short ammount of time, I don't want to meet them. The gamer Turbine is making DDO for probably enjoys more than one class so you can go ahead and double that figure provided they enjoyed it enough to be whining for more content.
With all the new features we're watching for you can expect an abundance of said gamers to be populating the servers.

Making more then once class just means doing everything twice, or actually 6 times instead of 3 since you need to do each dungeon 3 times to get all the experience needed for level 10.

The appeal of the game right now lies primarily in the action and gameplay. When you play a new class, you're seeing the whole game from a different angle. You have a different purpose, and if you're into roleplaying, a different motivation and outlook.
Playing a different a class isn't a satisfying substitute for a new dungeon, but to say that you'd be done with all the game has to offer in a week?
