Spyware/ Adware

Um... yeah... Listen I just found this process on my comp and I am almost 100% sure it is some sort of spyware/adware... Does anyone have any info on it?  It is named VIRTUA~1.EXE...  Anyway... I have already ran my adware spyware programs and it didnt pick it up... imageimageimage

    Go to www.pestpatrol.com and look through their lists of knows spyware/adware.  You can d/l their program but it only detects them for you...not removes them (You have to buy the full version to auto-remove them)...however, it is still possible to remove it manually...which they tell you how to do on their website for every single spyware program they know of.

    sounds like a vrape file.  Try downloading Adware.  You can download it at download.com.

    Best way is to have few "layers" of protection. Firewall first and foremost, good anti virus program and finally 2-3 good spyware detectors.

    Yeah...I don't have to worry about spyware much because usually nothing gets past my firewall in the first place.  And then the Anti-Virus program gets it.....I use spybot also...very nifty program...but PestPatrol is better at detecting them.

    go to google and put VIRTUA~1.EXE in the search.  Every reference of that exe file points to it coming from kazaa lite.
