For all of the highschool and college people, how many hours a week do you work? My last job I was working 20-25 hours a week and was just curious as to what other people did.

i've never worked there, but everyone there always seems to be really bored... but thats just my opinion
When I was working on my bachelor's degree, I worked 40-45 hours a week and took at least 12 hours a semester in school. Two semesters I took 18 hours!
I'm not bragging though, so don't get me wrong. I'm telling anyone who thinks about doing it to think twice.
I almost lost my sanity. My grades and my health suffered.
I was under the impression that everyone would think I was hardworking and would pat me on the back with congratulations for trying so hard. But it doesn't work out that way.
Instead you end up with a B average and have to compete to get a job with someone who has an A average on their transcript and took naps all day while you were at work or got a good nights sleep before class while you were up writing papers all night or doing homework.
I've been passed over for jobs because of my transcript. I could have easily gotten better grades if I would have had more time to study and look over my homework. But people don't care that you worked your ass off to pay your way through school.
Now, I've gone back to get my teaching certification. This time I'm doing it the right way. I am living on bare minimum and spending all my time studying. I have gotten straight A's so far, just like I could have done before on my bachelors.
Just a personal story about work and school. Thought I'd throw that in there.

Wait... the sandwiches place or the underground public transportation place?
I'm going to be a sophomore in college this Fall. Last year I worked on campus 10-15 hrs a week...18 hours second semester was a biatch. But 10-15 hours gives you enough to buy cheap booze and cigarettes.
I'm working 15-20 hours a week. Using spare time as constructively as I can. Except the past 2 weeks which I spent fighting off a cold. Grrr...I hate colds.

that reminds me, i should probably get a job...
