is the PVE here any good? I have heard it refered to as the crap you have to go through to RVR. Is there anything PVE to do end game? Could someone who doesnt like to pvp or RVR enjoy this game?
there's quite a lot of good pve in the game, just a lot of the people really into the pvp side don't like having to wade through it all to get their uber templates. There's raids that you can do against the realm's dragons, which need a pretty large group of top level players to take down. There's epic dungeons in the Shrouded Isles lands, which can take a large group a couple of hours to clear. There's tons of pve in the Trials of Atlantis, with the ability to do encounters to get special weapons and armour, and master level tasks to earn new master level skills. And if that wasn't enough, there's lots of areas where you can just wander around and smack stuff dead. also, there's a whole server dedicated to pve called Gaheris. it's not very high population, but you can group with members of any realm, and the frontier areas are filled with monsters instead of players fighting each other.

Hello, I played this game for quite awhile, (around 3 years) and loved it, my first 2 were on a PVE only server and were some of the best experiences I have had in any game to date. I have to say the PVP is also very well done in the game as well but if your looking for PVE questions... I have answers.
1). This game has numerous quests for you, there in just about every single town, and have lots of variety. Some give you money, require you to form a team to beat a boss, a special item(armor and weapons too!), or are a prequel to another quest.
2). Very Open ended PVE err 'ing there are monsters everywhere in this game, all you have to do is walk away from the main path, and BAM, they are there. Also traveling does not take very long because of your ability to ride horses to different towns, taking you to harder (or easier) monsters, easily
3). Instances. These are the best way for a PVE'er to level up, you talk to a "Instance Coordinator" and he will give you a task to do inside, a dungeon, or underground forest, and whatnot. You perform the task, get money and tons of experience.
I would seriously recommend this game for you, if your still suspicious, at least try it! You have 30 days to try it out and see whats down. If you have any more questions just send me a message.
The PvE in DAoC is probably the best I have ever experienced.. and I've played my share of PvE MMO's.
I'm not much of a PvP'er, so when I first joined DAoC, I created on the Gaheris server which is PvE only. There is no PvP except for duels which can only be done in certain areas.
As the poster above me stated, there are soooooo many areas to explore and hunt in PvE from Dungeons to quests to Champion Levels to Master Levels.
I have never felt restricted in the game at all with being on a PvE only server.
Download the trial and roll a toon on Gaheris... you'll probably enjoy the heck out of it
Good Luck

Oh yeah, thats another thing I forgot, as the poster above me stated there are Master Levels and DR Quests.
Master Levels- They go from 1-10 and each have 10 steps, these steps are usually very interesting and in general result in you getting an item to kill a boss thats at step #10, example of master level 1, you have to kill a fish called a cetus and need a mirror, and (sorry, can't remember) 2 other objects, and you use those to kill the Cetus, they help (alot). And these stretch all over each continent, (I mean theres 10). They take awhile to complete, but at the end of each one you are awarded a very powerful Spell, or chant.
DR Quests- These help provide a little background and story to DAoC, they combine whats happened in the past and future to form some fun quests that in the end... Get you your very own classes champion weapon! This weapon is usually the best you can find for your class and is not tradeable. There's also tons of variety to the quests that you perform here as well. For example one quest (for hibernia, idk about the other realms) you infiltrate a rouge anti-goverment base and have to track down people and get information from them regarding attacks and plans. To do this you have to wear their attire and perform some tasks for people in order to be accepted.
Just thought I would share some of my own thoughts with you to influence your opinion
No Problem man, if you have any other questions before you buy the game, or any in game questions as in what stats should go where and whats the best class and such, just send me a private message and I will be happy to tell you about it.
about the ML's being good PvE... the rewards you get are ment for PvP... they are abilities that are most usefull or in some cases only usable in PvP.. so i guess if you like PvE the ML's are fun but once you finish them thats it... there is no doing it again (for a reward at least) iunno... if ur looking for a PvE game i wouldnt buy DAoC... all the PvE is ment to make you better in PvP or get you there faster
