Farscape online

Lastnight in the Ryzom beta chat we were goofing around and discussing the upcomming releases of mmorpgs and then someone mentioned the Middle Earth Online game coming out and how it will steal players like SWG did cause of fandom. Then someone mentioned a cool idea in an mmo would be Farscape. Everyone in that room at that time (25 or so) was all a chatter about how diverse that game could be.

I know this is not any news but heck a Farscape mmo sure does have some interesting possabilities. The big problem with the MMO scene at this time is that most are a variation on a D&D theme. (eveyone knows that D&D aka Fantasy is based on the world that Tolken created in his books.)

Well it was just something that I felt would be interesting for the discussion group here at our favorite site.

    Please to deN00bify me with infos on what Farscape is. I have never heard of it.

    Farscape WAS a SciFi series, which lasted for 4 seaons, it was about a Human who got sucked through a wormhole while conductin and experiment on trying to use the earth's gravitational field to slingshot himself and his module to fast speeds. When he came out of the wormhole on the other side of the galaxy, he found himself in the middle of a prison break and was brought aboard a living ship called a leviathan.  The Ship and the inmates which were trying to escape from the cruel homanoid race called the peacekeepers.

    The lavithon's prisoners were from different species of humanoids. They were wrongfully imprisoned and our hero took up with them and that became the basis of ome of the most interesting story-lines in tv history.

    Every episode we saw different worlds and beings.

    I really liked that tv show, while i didn't understand what was going on at times most likely due to the fact i do not have an extensive knowledge of the storyline it was still good to watch. It partly reminds me of SG sg1's tv show which i also think would make a brilliant mmorpg... my memory tells me that i said that in a post a while ago but it deserves another mention image.

    AHHHHH YES

    Stargate SG1 MMORPG...what an idea....you form a team and then you get a mish and through the StarGate you go...man there are a lot of interesting lines you could do with this...
