Worth Coming Back?

   HI, I was thinking of re-subscribing for AO, but I was just wondering if it is worth it? IS the gameplay the same good ol'? How is the server populations? and does anyone know when Lost Eden is coming?

    I was thinking about re-subscribing but i have decided to wait until Lost Eden is released, as to when that is i am not sure, there just doesn't seem to be a great deal going on in the game at the moment maybe LE will give it a new lease of life.

    Opinions vary, but I just re-subscribed and am having a lot of fun. I needed a break from hackin' and slashin', so I re-upped my account and rolled a new fixer.
    The population seems suprisingly high. There are always people around no matter where you go, as a result finding a group so far has been easy.

    I like the community of AO verses other aging games because it is a mix of noobs and veterans. Most older games are hard to get back into, or start anew, because there aren't many low levels running around and all the veterans have snobby elitist attitudes. AO is not like that at all.

    Just activate a free account, try it for a few days, if you like it re-up your main account.

    As far as LE, my guess would be holiday 06 timeframe.

    The question really isn't if it's worth coming back to, you'll find out soon enough if you do..
    The real question is.. was it worth leaving in the first place?

    The servers are pretty much full, and the gameplay is pretty much same ol'... With some additions, ofc..
    No one knows about LE though.. might hit the stores this year.. might do it next year.. maybe it's just a myth to keep AO alive.. who knows..

    I am having fun with my froob acct for now, just waiting for Lost Eden, once that comes out then I will re open with my old chars.

    Ahh I'm thinking of re-upping too no other MMO out there held quite the hold on me that AO did. Unfortunatly I'm ashamed to say real life financial problems and an offer to good to pass up resulted in me selling off my toons. R.I.P Valharan he was the man 220 keeper on Atl server. Hopefully LE injects some life for me into the game because at the end I had most of the zod loot and a 297 Blade from those forking aliens wasn't much for me to do except farm paterns for more symbs for more alts for pvp. Speaking of pvp dont pvp with a keeper its just plain boring esp against another keeper lol neither has the common sense to die.

    I played for a couple months on a froob account, then decided to renew my old account that has notum & shadowlands. I will NOT be purchasing alien invasion for $30 when froobs get it for $10, but I may purchase Lost Eden. Plus, Alien Invasion seems stupid anyway.

    Well, because I already have good characters on my old account, plus pioneer backpack and veteran points.

    I played Ao for about a year and a half, then took a little break. During the break i played ALOT of games... WOW, COH, COV, auto Assault, D&DO, RF, and some others. Guess what? I'm back playing AO. I've been playing these type of games since everquest, and find AO to be deep, fun, good looking, and you can break up the play quite abit. It has extremely deep character tweaking and crafting. The community is friendly and there are many organisations that cater to any type of player. AO is also free for the basic game, there is alot to do with just that. However add the expantion packs and your talking ALOT of content. You're monthly fee can be as low as $7 per month. WHAT a bargain. AO is highly rated but isnt as simple as better marketed games like WOW. It also isnt for people that just want to shoot and kill...try this game... find someone to teach you the ropes and you'll find out why this game is so good.

    AI is pretty important to get just like the other
    2 expansions are as well.
    Can't you find a better deal than 30$?

    Alien Invasion is great. Why? More perks. also Alien Armor and other items are really nice. We do several raids in our player city everyday. Also i think you can get all expansions now for like $10

    I've toyed with resubscribing to AO myself ...I honestly must say that out of all the games I have played (read : I've tried everything on this list trying to find a good game experience ) - AO was by far the best. But being that I have a 220, and two characters 200+, I really don't know what I'd *do*. I'm not really into PvP, and there really isn't much more progression I can do - so other than logging in to chat and craft items / buff people I'm not sure what I'd do with myself. The entire account is full of characters already and I've tried every class to level 100 . I played this game for years, and I feel kinda like I've beaten it you know? FC sends me these taunting emails from time to time, telling me to come back ...each time it is a temptation, the hours hovering over the resubscribe button, etc. But I just don't know. IS there something new worth doing? Been gone almost a year ...I did Alien Invasion until I was all Alien'd out with the phats and left shortly after that.

    Gaming? That's not gaming!

    Most of my toons are higher lvl too. I will tell you that alot of new content has been added. new textures.better servers. There is new content throughout the game from the new starting area al the way to the new SL missions and quests.Also the factions are warring bif time and even borealis has gone Omni. Plus.. lost eden is about to come out.. Get back in the game and get your berrings back just in time for the new expansion pack... we'rte talkign Mechs, orbiting platforms to fight and control, and orbital weapons. if you come back and havent got a good org. Mine is one of the biggest and best for mature players. Fallen Angels.

    Most of my old Org went on to other games around the same time I did, so I'd be coming back to nohting ^
