koadmin - will this game be charging monthly fee past beta stage?

I've seen ads stating that this game will be free for life.

I would like to know what this exactly means.

I would appreciate any feedback.

    higgs would you be able to indicate where you saw these ads indicating free subscription?

    It would help with this disscussion. 

    I have not seen any as yet.

    It actually says "Free for life".

    Actually there are several more Korean game sites that the ads are posted.

    I hope its not free. A free game will have no added content after release. It would become boring quite a bit quicker.

    Well...Guild Wars is having no subscription fee and they have promised to continuously add content to the game.  All you have to buy is the retail box and then you're set for life :)

    KO would be awesome if they did this.

    I believe they will run it in the same way as they did lineage. In Korea I was able to just buy the game and play it free for life, but the English servers required payment this may be the case in this event too. Seeing as how they may not be able to attract as many players to this version as with their Korean version.

    Greetings from Knight-online,

    We will be going pay to play after we have finished beta. But as to when will it be implemented i have no idea. The koreans have this system where its free to play the game but you pay for items, weapons and upgrades. (this is the verification i got from our korean counterparts). So i think basically it still boils down to the same thing. Developers and game masters still have to eat and be merry. :)

    At this point in time, i have recieved no word on how the charges are going to be like nor have i been notified what sort of package or arrangements the marketing side has came up with. I will let you all know via our webpage http://www.knight-online.com.my, our official forum and i'll post it in here as well. As for the beta contest, this contest is managed by mmorpg.com , therefore any notification of contest winners and other matters relating to the contest will be done by the mmorpg.com team. But to my understanding it should be sometime soon.
