Are there any 3d uo type mmos out there?

I used to play uo a few years ago, untill i got Hooked on lineage 2. I love the pvp system in l2, but that and grinding is all there is to do. It gets repetivie and booring. On the other hand UO was great, having houses makeing a blacksmith, talor, carpenter, all kinds of skill that were awsome was great. I cant really go back to uo because i am spoiled with l2 graphics, but i want the uo gameplay again. I also want to be able to pvp. Is there any hope or is it a lost cause. I was looking forward to ultima X before they canceled it. Right now im a l2 addict with over 6 65+ characters. Im just getting bored and want something more. Anyone got any suggestions or good games that have pvp and much more to do? Wow is ok but still no houses, no castles, and the professions are decent, not like a legendary Black Smith in uo, and i hate the instances. I think in a mmo there should only be one instance of one place, and if someone is there you have to fight for it or wait it out or go somewhere else.

You and thousands of others are waiting for that next game to replace UO. Unfortunatly, no one until resently has been brave enough to make one as good or better. The Future is bright though, as Darkfall may be the very game your after. Take a look at it, there's a forum here for it as well.

Older style mmo that remains more hardcore as UO was/is.

Some of the best, most ruthless, and skill-required PvP you'll find is found in Asheron's Call. Many servers offer protection of PvP and require players to seek out a lenghty quest to turn "red" and be able to attack other "red" players at will. But on one server, the Darktide server, PvP never stops. Not even in towns. Kill another player and send him back to his lifestone, leaving behind a corpse of himself ready for you to loot all his most valuable items in his inventory!! Typically on Darktide, these items will be what are called "death items" and simply be over-valued junk that is carried only to protect lower game value, but much higher real value items carried.
Four schools of magic to train and/or specialize in! Life Magic which offers high-demand elemental protections, quick heal spells, elemental vuln spells to make another player/monster weak towards one of the elements in AC. Creature Magic offers tons of buffs and debuffs that alter a character or mobs statistics such as their ability to run fast or their strength. Item Magic buffs and debuffs weapons and armor and offers powerful recall abilities and the ability to summon a portal to a previously memorized place for a group of players to enter. And War magic is the magic of sheer devastation which offers blasts, bolts, and rings of elemental damaging war magic.
