Did anyone get a email for another free trial

    Me.  The funny thing is I didn't even buy a subscription for the game or anything just played one 7-day trial and they sent me an email to try it again till July 7th.

    Yeah, not a good sign for a game if they are giving additional free trials to people who did free trials. Yes I got the same message for my other trial accounts but nothing for the account that I unsubscribed from which I found a bit wierd.

    I got a free trial email too, also for a free trial I did a while ago. Personally, I don't think it says anything bad about how the game is doing if they give free trials away. EQ2 and WoW, just as 2 examples, have free trials all the time.

    Actually....

    It's good marketting.  Though I think they're making a mistake by sending that out now instead of waiting till after they publish the expansion (which is included in the game, not purchased).  If it were my decision I'd have held off till all the new features are in and the module has been added.  So that you can say "Solo play, Drow Elves, tons of new quests and many many more features that allow you to customize and grow your character within the world have been added".

    They'd have a better chance of getting people to take another look at it. 

    Then again... Turbine has never been a company known for it's genius at marketting.

    I got the e-mail aswell. I don't know, but if a company sends me an e-mail saying:

    "Come back and play Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, in fact for free!"

    I get the feeling that they are really trying hard to win back players that canceled. It's a 10 day free play offer.

    Also advertising a new 'Solo Mode' with a 20 Dungeon Solo campaign. Since when have there been campaigns in the game? Even so, one that spans 20 Dungeons.

    Next thing they going to tell me that they have a story line..


    This game is and always will be a joke. There is so much wrong in this game it is beyond fixing.

    Err I didn't read it very carefully but I could have sworn the email said "20 solo dungeon campaigns" not "A 20 dungeon solo campaign".  Or something like that.  :)

    Lol,

    This game is doomed. All you folks are playing free trials and getting more free trials. What's the point in subscribing then?

    Turbine 1 win 2 losses, 1 in development. Great track record.

    The first free trial i can agree with, also if they are giving free trials to people who have paid and canceled but i can't agree with giving a second free trial to someone who only subscribed to a free trial in the first place.

    This game might survive but will never flourish!
