Trial question

in World of Warcraft

I already play WoW, but I didn't start using the trial.

My friend just tried the trial and really wants to buy it now, but he wants to play that same character. Is it possible for him to buy the game, and upgrade his account with that CD key, keep his characters, and still recieve 30 days free?

I was unsure about this, and didn't want to mislead him.

    I would assume it is.  Most MMO do this and I can't believe Blizzard would be dumb enough not to.  As to how exactly to do it, I dunno.

    Yes he can. Ask him to open his account management page; there's an option to upgrade the trial account with a retail key. Just make sure he doesn't creat a new account with the key.
