Forum for people who quit

in Final Fantasy XI
I quit half a year ago and i was wondering if anyone of you who quit had some stories of horrible experiances in game that may have contributed to your quitting, i sure have my share. This isnt ment to be a thread for arguements either, more of a support group or get together.

    I quit about a year ago and just recently came back FFXI. The only 2 reasons i had for quiting were #1- the game is so time consuming, it requires a lot of time to play, the 2nd reason why i quit was because of the gil sellers/farmers, they were everywhere and dominated all the good NM camps. Since i've been back tho i noticed SE actually started doing something about the gill sellers, they deleted over 50 billion gil in the games and thousands of accounts, i must say im having a blast playing the game again and very happy to be back.

    Has the economy improved though? Or is it still a static high number that just keeps increasing. If only there was a way to tell all the players to start selling things for 99.9/100 the price of the last sold item of that kind. slowly the economy would lower with out much loses. But people seem to have the mentality that more gil is better. But really the more gil you get the more the gils worth drops. in comparison, the gil when this game was first released to the US it was like a gil could be priced at say the equivalant of 20 US dollars. Right now one gil is now priced at one US dollar. But gil was never a main problem on my part, mainly because i did not care if i had the greatest gear, i just wanted to have fun and play the game i bought. But other players on the other hand might have something to say about that. They had alot to say about the subject and maybe too much to say.

    The economy fixed itself. It was bad around christmas. Prices are slowly dropping all over the place. No huge drops. But things ARE going down.

    On my Server (Pandemonium) Prices have gone down dramatically since the XMAS price inflation. The good thing is that all the prestige items have dropped alot (Astral Rings, Scorpion Harness, Vermillion Cloak, Haubergeon etc.) while at the same time easy to farm materials (Beehive Chips, Silk, Mushrooms, Slime Oil) have not dropped as much. It's really not hard to make a few 100k by just farming those things for an hour.
