I played it for the PC. I like the action scenes (that you can't control), I thought they were pretty cool imo. Unfortunately the multiplayer and single player is.... just.... another.... FPS...
I used to have an Xbox with Xbox Live so I played lots of FPS for over a year and I didn't see anything unique for Prey. Multiplayer has places where you can run up the wall or flip upside down and that's all I could find that was unique oh and you can leave your body as it suspends in mid air, then you can run around as a spirit with a bow that one shot kills. You can't suspend your life forever but you get a pretty long time and if you use it right then you can kill tons of people with one shot and get back in your body so you don't lose too much in the spirit bar. I think it's a bit over powered but people weren't using it often so... *shrug* I think there might be servers that will have rules to ban it while playing but who knows.
The game has really good graphics atleast but it's not worth buying. If you find anything cool that maybe I missed i'd like to hear it.

Well it is just another fps but it looks like another good fps. Alex pretty mcuh has it all the multiplayer and SP are pretty cool but nothing really extraordinary besdies the wall thing. Definitaly worth a try though after its downloaded tell us what you think of it Riki.
I didn't finish the demo. In me and my dad's opinion...it's...different. Good but different. The storyline is pretty fresh. I will finish the demo and try multiplayer tonight.
I've burned through the PC demo a couple times. Agreed, the game itself is STILL an FPS but it's really fun. The story and world are pretty engrossing. I mean, any game where I can pop on some Ted Nugent is pretty cool!
The protrayal of the "cherokee" was a little cliche. They really played them off as a Southwestern group when, in fact, cherokee were easten and some midwest. Other than that poo-poo I really liked the demo. Enough that, gasp, I am actually going to buy the game when it comes out. That's a shocker for me since I fly the skull and crossbones flag a lot

Well, you know how you feel when you wait for an MMO to come out and when it does you feel like you've paid to play it's beta test for another 6-9 months before anything even thinks of working the way it should? Being a network engineer you feel that way about anything Microsoft puts out."
I didn't finish the story mode but spent 2 hours on multiplayer. I really enjoyed it! The levels are crazy. The demo has a problem with lagging though, but hopefully that is fixed in the retail version.
I downloaded the PC version a couple of times ago, and all I can say is it has some plenty of fresh ideas to bring to the FPS genre.
In singleplayer there are a good half dozen new ideas which they have brought forward. My favorite has to be spirit walk and the wall walking. Spirit walk is when you leave your body, and can enter certain areas which your physical form cannot go through. Next is Wall Walking, and this blew me away the first time I gave it a go. I have played plenty of single/multiplayer FPS, and I absolutely loved this. The fact that your never totally sure of where you are, and that there is no real up and down makes you think out of the box, and not "what is infront of me".
I gave the multiplayer a go a couple of times, and this really does take Wall Walking and gravity reversal to the next level. Like I said before, unlike UT/Doom/Farcry/Quake for example, where you always think of what is ahead/behind and on your sides, Prey makes you think in all directions - at all times. What is great is on one of the maps, they don't make it clear exactly when the gravity reversal will happen, so you could be walking along, and expecting to go through to the next room when wham! - your upside down.
