Worth a try? Still going strong?

Don't really care too much if graphics are dated as long as the content is good.

Worth the 2week trial?

If you try the trial make sure you CANCEL it right after its setup. If you dont, youll be billed $15 when your trial ends.

Mythic was recently purchaced by EA, so the life of the game has been in question for the past week or so since the news. Its an ok game, although the trial is going to have horrible graphics, there is a workaround that involves downloading the catacombs and doing a bunch of crap but its not really worth it.

Has alot of pvp content, alot of classes for some variation, and combat is decent but I didnt really play long enough to tell if its good or not from my POV. Other people here can give you better detail on that.

EA is all you had to say.

Never again, not since EnB. Thanks for the heads up!

First of all, it would be more appropriate to say that EA bought Mythic in the past week or two.  This means that if you wanted to test out the trial, it's still going to be entirely Mythic.  EA won't have their hands in DAoC for a good while.

    Give the game a try.

It wasn't so much in response to when EA purchased Mythic, but that DAoC is still the good old DAoC everyone knows.

I'm telling Nurai to give the game a chance.  By the way he responded it seemed like he thought EA had taken over everything, or that he didn't even know who Mythic was.  Sorry if I came off that way.

Bother! It's worth having a look at DaoC's PVP model just to see if you like it, as it's unlike anything else out there.
