They have stated this numerous times over the years. When they signed the Warhammer license and started ramping up the team, they brought in new folks for it, they didn't rape the DAoC team for bodies. Personally I see no reason UO will work any different if Mythic is indeed taking over UO, which in and of itself is still pure speculation, all it says is they'll be "working together". Hell, that could mean Mythic is giving the UO team some of their CS programs to use, or some ingame tools, or just providing leadership advice, etc. The point is, we don't know at this point and posts like yours stating things like "welp its been almost a month and Mark jacob is a sell out and now i can prove it" are in no way productive and should be locked until we know the full details of the plan.

Ok check out UO here its in UO's news so it is the truth read it
ok you say they keep it seprate did mythic just higher a dev team for UO???
Or where did they get the devs to help out UO????
Dude Mythic is no more so their fore only people that could higher is EA.
If you can apply to work for mythic and not ea then EA did not BUY THEM OUT
sorry but you have to take away support or attention from something else to focus on another project
Not everyone helping another person have to devote extra resources to do so. Especially in software development its important to have good tools for planning in projects as complex as MMORPG's.
"Ok, check it out... Here it is on UO's News page:"
And you still failed to include the actual item, so here, let me do it for you:
http://www.uo.com/
I know quoting and linking can be hard sometimes, you're welcome.
No one ever denied the actual News story was real...
"Ok, so you say they'll keep it seperate, did Mythic hire a new dev team for UO?" Where are they going to get the devs to help out UO?"
Well... They hired a whole new dev team for Warhammer, minus the people who asked to move from DAoC to WAR. And those folks they hired replacements for, overall the number of people never changed. But if you had actually taken the time to read my post you'd note that I pointed out that the plan isn't finalized yet. Therefore no one has moved anywhere, and won't for some time yet. And like I also pointed out, no one knows yet what type of "help forging Britannia's future" Mythic is going to give, like myself and others said, it might just be leadership and better dev tools...
Dude, Mythic is no more! So therefore, the only people that can hire (be hired?) are EA. If you could apply to work for Mythic and not EA then EA did not buy them out." (This one was a doozy to translate.)
No one ever denied that EA bought them...
Depends on the type of help you're giving...

anyone want to help??
Now playing Vanguard, but drooling for WAR
Tell me if I am wrong. I could be, but the way I understand it is. EA bought Mythic. Mythic signed contract to do War. War rights are owned by Game Workshop. That means that if things go wrong GW can pull out and go else where with WAR. I do not think EA wants to mess with there new source of cash flow. EA didnt buy Mythic for daoc. They bought mythic for WAR. Mythic sold out to guarntee there monster game can get published and marketed. MJ did say that there passion for WAR was shared by EA. Only reason for the bo was that he wanted the game to be released. Being a independent company with a giant mmo. Any issue can make it delayed or even worse canceled.
Please tell me if I am wrong. I am curious myself.
Thanks
GW is not the sole owner of the WAR rights. From day one this has been presented as a partnership between Mythic and GW.
What this means is...
EAMythic now owns a signed a contract to partner with GW in which they provide the programming, server hosting, and tactical implimentation of the game. GW signed on to provide the IP which equates to oversight of the storyline, look, and feel of the game. If EAMythic is meeting the minimum level required by their commitments in the contract then GW cannot pull out without being sued for breach of contract.
EA bought Mythic to get the contract to use the GW IP, they could not have cared any less about Mythic or it's employees. It is just business kids.

Actually you had the business part right, but I doubt they wanted the liscense as much as they wanted the development teams that have many years of experience. The liscence and a viable WoW competitor is gravy. EA is a huge company with many projects continually on the go. It also has a history of absorbing development companies for their talent then redistributing them to other projects.
This isnt an EA bad comment. I'm not overly thrilled with the new EA involvement but I'm still 100% behind WAR. I'm sure the core development team will stay together until WAR is on it's feet, but remember it's EAMythic now..once WAR is up and running EA will basically decide what their next project will be, and whom will remain to continue with the job of updating and maintaining WAR.
I posted earlier about this in the DaoC forum, I should have known that this is where the action is at
Well, EA has shown before that they have the sense not to intrude to much on newly acquired developers, Mythic has a great track record and alot of experience. Also the CEO of Mythic would never approve of the sale if he didn't have great faith in EA, he has shown alot of integrity over the years. Also... Ah screw it...
IF IT'S ON THE INTERNET THEN IT MUST BE TRUE!
