Swg will never be the same! and yet I come here anyway

    Well funny because I think some are getting a jump on it. Been back 6 days and watched about a dozen people giving their stuff away and log out naked in Theed. And as always I make like a bandit. One guy gave me almost 20 million credits just for loading into Theed. Another gave me his Katarn armor.

    A dozen people may not seem like much but on a server like kauri that's alot.

    What happend to the mass inflation?

    He only gave you like 20 mill?

    I quit like 1-2 weeks into the NGE and i had almost 200 mill.

    The guy was giving creds to everyone standing in Theed. Since it was during the evening, I guess the other THREE people that loaded in Theed during the previous 16 hours got the rest.

    My main maxed out his bank and creds when I was doing shipwright. Still have most of that left.

    Heh.  I used my free two weeks and logged into the game in March.  After trying the new combat system, I decided to pack up my houses and donated my BE food additives to one of the three guild members left in the game.  She was going to try a domestics trader.

    The other day, I decided to see if she was still posting on the forums and I spotted her auctioning off my additives.  She made a cool 100 mil from that, and I'm fairly certain that she only sold half of what I gave to her.  Guess she didn't like being a trader.

    you know this isn't going to work cause those $&*! starwars geeks that keep saying well it's still starwars and that is the only reason they are there will keep that hellspawn going.

    I'm not sure there is enough disgruntled players left in the game to make this event even noticed.

    I think they got a lot of cancels already after it was seen that expertise was going to be skill regifting, not real enhancements or bringing back a semblance of what the game once was.

    My guess is many of the vets that have hung on (myself included) have been clinging to the hope of expertise.

    Tomorrow is the day another 100-200 ppl, in an effort to send a message to SOE and/or LEC regarding the state of the game, will cancel their SWG subs.  I hope it is more and that the message is heard, but many doubt it will amount to much as previous efforts have similarly failed to impress.

    yes we all are geeks lol and i love it but if you really want to send a message you need to get organized and have some mag cover like the news when people protest otherwise soe will sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happen.

    It doesn't really matter, the fate of the NGE is sealed already, I am sure the beancounter department soon will be all over management.

    SWG will close or offer classic servers before the end of the year.

    If they keep losing 10K a month on average, the game falls to <20K subs in less than a year.

    Classic servers MUST come out shortly before or after that.

    I think there will be a push to have classic servers by fall.

    That would require a magazine to develop a spine and stand up to Sony.  Not gonna happen with gaming magazines, and other magazines probably don't give a damn what happens in virtual worlds.

    I hope there's a lot of people that quit and stay quit.. But, knowing this crowd, they'll quit and resub the very next morning. "Let that be a lesson to you, SOE. Next July 4th, if things don't improve, we'll quit and resub again. And we'll just keep doing it every year until you give us what we want".

    Good post, and its the truth. Alot of people up here are all talk and no action. They piss on SWG and SoE left and right and tell everybody to quit and its not worth it, yet they are subbed. Last time I checked giving somebody what they want isnt a good form of protest, dosent show hate for the game or whatever else you want to call it.

    I voted Jedi. It was the only option really. The blind probably find this game too simplistic despite the Star Wars Actiony targeting system. SOE workers play WoW.
