I would give asherons call 2 a try u can just use the 2 week trial and c if u like and keep in mind that the game develops constantly and it was the best game i have ever played till i recently got in a lil problem with the customer support but i would definietly still put it on top of my list.
If you are looking for a game to play for just a little bit I would get DAoC...even though its not that great, I think it's the best game out right now.
::Yordo:: EQ2, UXO, Lineage 2, KO, Guild Wars, City of Heroes
I'm also looking forward to uxo...i strongly recommend it, should be a really refreshing mmorpg. but theres always other options...just none as good. lol!
AC1 is good stuff. The game is mature and the content and storyline is some of the best out there.
DAOC is also good if you like PVP. I found the PVE a little limited, but by adding quests with the new expansion helped.
Another good one that doesn't come up as much is Anarchy Online. It's SciFI which doesn't appeal to everyone and had some massive problems at launch which gave it a reputation. It's really gotten good in the last few years and settled a lot, though. The newest expansion, Shadowlands, added a lot of content and quests and I think it's gotten even better.

I doubt it will come out next month. Closed beta (signups anyway) havn't even been put on the site. Not to mention probably an Open Beta after that. Not that its official or anything but gamestop and ebgames say it ships some time in April.
Don't be talked into buying a gaming that costs over twently dollars, there are plenty of first generation mmorpgs that are giving away free trails right now.
AC2 and Anarchy on line to name a few. Give those a try and see if they manage to wet your wistle while you wait for either UO: X or WOW to come out. Both games promise a new and interesting approach the the mmo, and honestly I wouldn't blow any money till the reviews are out on those two.
And if those games don't suit you fancey, just remember that daoc gold edition is only twenty dollars for Doac and the first expansion, that comes with one free month. Although don't give it a try if you don't like pvp and grind at higher levels, because quite frankly thats all there is to do.
i ought DAOC and played for a month and found it a waste of money, i might get into EQ for that is the first MMO i ever played, my uncle has been playing for 4 year lol i could jsut barrow the expansion from him lol
IF you though dark age was boaring then don't bother with EQ, it's like dark age but without Realm vs Realm to break up the monotany of leveling. IF your really jonesing for a good game experance, then I highly suggest avoiding most mmorpgs on the market right now. My best advice is wait and for the love of god don't buy everquest.
And whilie your waiting you might try KOTOR (Knight of the Old Republic for those not in the know), it's not an mmorpg, but it's the best damn rpg I've played since secret of mana years ago, and thats saying something.

Well, you're at one of the biggest MMORPGs sites around... why don't you take a look around and figure out what you like..
I might like one thing and suggest it only to have you get pissed at me because you didn't care for it... Everyone's taste is different.
What will he do next?

If you wait to do something until the last minute, your more efficient since it will only take 1 minute.

If the game was gold already I would recommend to take a shot at Pirates of the Burning Sea
But as already said: it depends on what you like. So wander around through the Game List and pick the MMOG you like the most
