Can anyone recommend some MMoG's with good pvp capability? Preferably fantasy but sci-fi is ok too. My favorite mmorpg so far has been DAoC, but it got old. I played shadowbane, and you guys know all the reaosns for elaving that. I want soemthign with not to bad of a leveling treadmill, but a good pvp system.

My friend loves the Faction based PvP system of Star Wars Galaxies. You can also try UO
I would suggest Anarchy Online, ive been playing it for 3years and 2.5 of those years ive been hardcore pvping. The lvling in ao is ok but the pvp is great imo. In daoc pvp is mostly team based and single ppl dont make a difference, but in ao skills count. What i mean is that a "uber" person makes a difference. The pvp atm is not the greatest because everyone is buzy powerlvling in the new expansion pack but i in a couple of months it will be back to normal i believe. Ive met all that dont like ao pvp tho so if you like team battle where single individuals dont make a difference ao isnt the game for you, that is if you are a hardcore pvper:)
yea, but in SWG, killing members of other factoins doesnt have much benifits, and if you die there is almost no penalty, plus in order to be effective you need ot be one of only a few class (commando/Pistoleer&BH Pistol/Pistoleer&smuggler)
on some servers, there is no really powerful people, and everyone is weak(1000 seems like a tonne of damage). where as on some servers, ie the one me bro is on, there are tonnes of super powered people (6k damage is standard, or pistols that deal 1000 damage every quater of a second)
after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
My friend has an Empired factioned character and is always telling me that he is defending his base with his friends from rebel attack. And with the space expansion coming soon the battle will be taken there also.
If your a Jedi (hard to get), The game creates bounties on you and Bouty Hunters can actually try tracking you down. Makes it kinda interesting, I think...
ok, here's the deal with PvP in SWG:
It is 100% consensual. You can choose a faction (rebel or imperial), or choose to stay neutral. There are two different modes you can operate in, within your faction (not neutral): Covert or Overt. Covert memebers cannot attack opposing faction PCs, unless they use the group TEF. Covert memebers cannot be killed by overt members of the opposite faction unless they have earned themselves a TEF. Overt memebers can openly attack any overt members of the opposite faction.
Otherwise, it is a dueling system. "You challenge ***** to duel." "****** accepts/declines your challenge."
It isn't open PvP, but there ARE people who choose to go Overt, but in my opinion, not enough to hold my interest, my account expired this month.
I would say, if you are looking for great pvp action, "Move along."

I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.
