black screen (help)

in Final Fantasy XI

I got the game today, I had to wait all day for my dads CC and then I had to wait so long while the update was downloading and now when its all done i go to make my character and all i can see is a black screen and my cursor.

Any help will do. thx.

    i think this was a topic before

    i think yuour promble is you settings  with the back round aand stuff try that  

    and look for the other thred
