Just saw this on GameDev.net, it's incredible...

A TOP classical violinist killed himself by severing every vein and artery in his neck as he attempted to cut off his head with an electric circular saw.

Divorced alcoholic Laurence Rowden-Martin, 48, was found in his blood-soaked bath after being seen drunkenly taking the tool into his Sheffield flat.

An inquest heard police halted a murder probe after learning he'd suffered mental problems since a nerve condition ended his career. Verdict: Suicide.

    I sure hope so. I just don't get why he decided to remove his head to kill himself, there's far cleaner and faster ways of killing yourself. He could have even been creative and used his violin as a weapon.

    That's really a painful way to go. As far as I know, he will die from lose of cerebral bloodpressure. If he severed the spinal cord doing this, he couldn't receive any active chemical thus giving him the full spectrum of pain.

    Violin string to the neck would have been a bad ass way to do it.

    I was just watching a show earlier this week and they talked about this kid who got run over by a car and was decapitated.... But he lives.. Turns out he was luck.... His head (skull) was pulled away frmo the spinal column. But the skin of his neck stayed connected... and no major veins/arteries were severed.. They called it Internal Decapitation. He now wears a collar around his neck... Doesn't look like it's supporting his head though..
