I need some advice bad "Looking for a new MMORPG"

Hello all,

I am new to this forum but not new to MMORPGs. Although I have only played one I had alot of fun in its heyday but I quit about 1-2 years ago and its was SWG no more needs to be said. Anyway I want to start another MMORPG but I dont no where to start. I want something with a good adventure, combat, and story qualities also player run economies are a plus for me. If anyone can help me out with some suggestions I would be most appreciative.

I suggest Everquest 2. Great grapphics like SWG. Gotten a lot better since it's release, and imo probably a better overall game now then is World of Warcraft, especially with the addition of PvP.

But that's not the only reason I suggest EQ2 to you. I also suggest it so that if you ever wanna play SWG, you can easily play that one with SoE's all-mmo pass that lets you play any of their mmos with one pretty low fee of like $21 or so.

    Hope that helps.

hm, I think you might like The saga of ryzom. you might also like EVE online, it has a lot of features you seem to like, but it plays very diffrent from other MMO's.

As a fellow swg vet I can only be frank.

EQ2 - linear grindfest with dwindling subscription numbers.
Ryzom - No content and dwindling subscription numbers.
Eve - skills are based on linear time - example: It takes you 6 months of *not* playing the game to become proficient.

Sit back, spend no money, wait for the next gen of mmorpg to fill the gap. Nothing will replicate dant mo. Take it from someone who has spent hundreds of pounds/euros/dollars finding this out.

wow such a good response so fast. You guys have a good community here I am very impressed. I thought about EQ2 the most but I still dont know. I also thought about waiting because I like playing the game when everybody else are newbs to its like growing up with the game. I am so bummed out because I cant find a good one though after I quit SWG I put so much time into it and in a way it was a part of life during that time. Which i was considerably younger in mind and in age. I kind of want to get that part of my life back lol it may sound corny but its true

    hehe
I have to point out - the average DnD game goes to level 25 ... Neverwinter nights goes to level 50... a brand new dnd mmorpg goes to level 10 with plans to expand to level 12 by the end of the year and most players reached level 10 in a week....
Its got a free trial tho so dont take my word for it if youre on unlimitted internet downloads.
