FYI...I only asked for a shirt to give out on the show. LA hooked me up with the box of gear. I also stated in e-mails to the LA reps that I would be willing to give things away on the show as long as they did not expect me to limit what was said about the game. As for the fancy titles on the o-boards, that was as big of a suprise to me as it was to anybody else. In fact I believe Solen is the one who was behind that before he "flead" to the EMU :P
As for the douchebag comments. Listen, all boards have people like that on them. If you saw the PM's he was receiving before he made those comments you might understand. Here he is trying to collect information to give to the dev's from the player base and no matter what side he takes he was receiving PM's cursing him out. My favorite line of his was on our boards when he said "I wish this was the FIRST time someone threatened to kill me in a boxing ring". But we are done with that and there will be no such comments like that in the future.
Anyways, thanks to those of you who give us a try. If you ever disagree with what we say shoot us an e-mail or feel free to call in during the show.

I understand that the Devs and Senators get hate mail... To be honest though, as crappy as people can be, it comes with the territory.. Calling people deushebags doesnt do anything to help the Senators out... Most of us know they are merely powerless puppets (well maybe jsut my opinion). They need all the help they can get, and making comments like that doesnt do them any good.
As far as the PR stuff.. ehh... I could care less to be honest.. From my point of view it looked like a PR buyoff from SOE / LA, and nothing more... Throw some stuff your guys way and hope you will be generous in critiquing the game (again my opinion). Not saying you guys are buy offs, just saying how it looked.
As far as you guys liking the game.. thats your thing.. I cancled after the NGE, and resubbed once to see if I truly liked it... I didnt, so canceled.
As far as the show, you guys are optomistic, which i guess is ok.. We have Obraik and Piirg on these forums to be our counter points, so its all good.
The one thing that never gets addressed though is what SOE / LA did to the playerbase. No one seems to want to touch that one, how they traded out the old for the new. The ethical complications alone could be an entire show, and its just kinda supriusing no one wants to call SOE / LA out on the carpet for that one.
I am curious though to see if there is any reprucussions from SOE about your views of Restuss (Even though its shared by about 98% of the playerbase). The admission from the LEC guy Jneri (which is another issue all in itself - why is LA now having producers other than Julio commenting?) was just insane. To say they knew this was going to happen and more or less use it as an experiment is wrong.
I would love to see you guys try to get some SOE / LA people on your show to take call ins from people who ask real questions, and maybe force them to give real answers... Thats jsut me though...

This whole restuss thing... the game... everything is really pathetic and sad to be quite honest. I grew up with star wars. I had the toys as a kid... was on the edge of my seat for each movie and to see what has become of this game it truly sad. Its fucking star wars man. There is no reason a star wars mmo cannot be as big as WoW if done right. no matter what SOE or LA does from this point on SWG will always be known as an mmo that had no diection and never reached it potential. I just cannot see this game lasting much more than a year since it looks like the restuss event will faila nd there are no new expansions. Sure the expertise system might be nice but that not content. that is part of the game infrstructure and frankly should have been in place when the whole NGE shit was pushed out.

Yeah. And someone please tell me how the fuck that game has lag when most of the servers are only light/very light and like one or two mediums? And we all know that the categorizing for that has been lowered. A medium server now is what a very light was in late 2003 or early 2004, because it's obviously they've reduced their server power in reflection of the vastly reduced subscriptions.
I mean common talk about a bunch of cheap asses. There's hardly anyone playing that game (in terms of being an MMO), and there's terrible lag?
These people are cheaping you out not just on their shitty software you pay for, but they're even cutting corners on servers/hardware/bandwidth!

could you share with us ,if you have the time, on what you WANT swg to be like. I mean, what combat system, skill vs level, crafting..ect would you like to be in swg. Maybe if people could understand what exactly your vision is for swg they would know where you stood. Ive listened to almost every show..some great some not, but one thing for certain is the devs or management lends an ear to what you guys say. It would be benenficial in my opinion to share 'your' swg dream so players wouldnt be calling you fanbois or mocking you, because we all share a swg dream, and we could say "oh, he likes that part of the NGE", cause thats his ultimate swg mmo dream, not because your a fainboi ect..

I would love to have you call in sometime if you want to give a "NON-Fanboi" opinion. All we can do is give our thoughts on the game. Some people will agree, some will disagree. I can still have fun in the game and I like some of the things they would like to implement so I keep playing.
Really I am not worried about the Dev's reaciton. Grant was a cool guy and after the summit he asked us a lot of quesitons on things we didn't like or what we would change if we could. Hopefully they look at it as "wow if these guys are pissed we really messed up". I still chalk all this up to a power struggle between LA and SOE and I have a feeling the dev's get caught in the middle.
As a older EX player I do appriciate this offer but I think at this point I should decline. AGAIN this is no offense, but after all that I have seen and been part of I am no longer fair in my opinion enough. Since beta 2 I have played the game on Bria -- been through more Devs then weapons and I think I have said enough on the boards and made my mark of where I stand.
At this point I think the people that need to be snagged are the once NGE fans that bailed in the last month -- If you have someone like me involved I think this is more of a "I told you so" -- and then it belittles the point I started making 6 or so plus months ago.
I do dig the show, I just hate seeing people think this is all going fine and dandy, ingoring the issues.

Again, thanks but I will let the newer FRESH Anti-NGEr step in. Everything I dislike about the NGE and SOE was said within my 6000 plus posts relating to it on the SWG boards before the ban.
