To summarize...

  • The Iran Oil Bourse would be a euro-denominated exchange in oil, natural gas, and other petroleum products
  • If successful, the Iran Oil Bourse would compete with London’s International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) and the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) – both owned by American companies
  • “If the billions of dollars in oil sales ever got into euros, experts say, that could dry up the demand for dollars that the heavily indebted US economy depends on, and could mean big trouble for the US economy”

The nuclear threat is just another excuse to attack Iran. In reality, its the federal reserve protecting its control over the world via the US dollar.

Mark my words, we will see an invasion of Iran before this decade is over.

End of the decade? Without a doubt. But I'd be even more liberal with an estimate and say by the end of GWB's term.

You have serious reasons, however, the US isn't over in Iraq.

They CAN do it, but I honestly doubt that they would.  Usually there is a new attack every few years for the US, however latety they are invading and leaving troops there.

Holding another country such as Iran would be stretching it, even for the all-mighty US military.  Especially considering they have to keep significant forces around Taiwan at all the time and be checking N. Korea.  I doubt China would attemp anything, but after an Iran-Invasion, they might put an ultimatum about Taiwan and not back from it...that would not be nice indeed.

If Iran is invaded, I would bet a $20 that this time, it will be French leaded AND the US would have to be there (like 2k soldiers or less, but there).  But I don't see yet, why would the French accept to invade Iran.  I am sure Bush is already in such talks.

Hopefully, there could be peace and peaceful solutions...

I've said it before and ill say it again WWIII is just around the corner with N korea iran and china we have real trouble brewing there. china supports N korea (behind closed doors atleast) and wants to be the next superpower iran hates the west but wants cash and n korea just wants a fight how long will it be before they start to work as one

look at recent news reports china has been found spying on the USA if it wants to grow any more it has to get it's oil from places other then the west so iran will be key for them they could use n korea to start things and force iran out of talks with the west if that happens the middle east will side with china and i think russa will too

but this is only speculation on my part. but, i fear ill not be far from the mark... only time will tell

North Korea has no value to the Federal Reserve and its international banking owners. This is why we negotiate for peace or offer food / money aid to them.

However, Iran has oil and a lot of it. Add to that, a threat to the dollar and you can bet war is near.

Old news to those who knows, but to few does.

Iraq putting their oil marker on the euro was much more the instigator of the first war then the invasion of Kuwait ever was.

However, I am not sure the US will go into Iran, if nothing else it is a WHOLE other opponent then Saddam and the resources needed to do it would be many many times above what the current war is or were and I am not sure any president could get funding to do that.

It would be political suicide for any congressman who helps pass a trillion dollar+ request.

That said nothing is impossible and I to am sure of who pushes the buttons to make this happen but the American people can only take so much, in both fincancial pressure as well as opression, because lets face it the US may well be the home of the brave but it is hardly the home of the free anymore.

And not even the Rotshilds or Rockefellers can live on a planet engulfed in a perpetual winter and going in to Iran would put us awfully close to that.

No, this time I put my trust in the American people to actually wake up should this be suggested.

    Here's for hope.

Thats the problem here in the USA. The media focuses on Britney Spears marriage, Kiera Knightly's weight, anything to do with Tom Cruise, etc.

Unless someone here reads the web or watches international tv, they would never know much of anything. And even when some US media covers something important, it rarely gets the coverage it deserves.

Case in point, the revelation from NSA documents showing that the Gulf of Tonkin incident (the attack on US ship from North Vietnam) never happened was on page 6 of the Washington Post. It never even made my local paper here in Idaho. Instead the news was focused on Katie Holmes pregnancy and delivery date.

Ask any american if they are aware that the whole justification for the Vietnam war was totally made up. I bet 1% are aware of it.

If even half the peabrains in this country could look at history, they might start to see a pattern here.

Spanish - American war of 1898...started with an explosion aboard a ship in Cuba. USA blames Spain despite any evidence and goes to war. Taken from the spoils of war was Cuba and the Phillipines.

WW2...despite our goverment's pledge to the american people to stay out and remain neutral, we supplied the british with war supplies. We tried every trick to get the people to support a war. We supplied a passenger luxury ship with ammo, let it leak to german UBoats so they could sink it, and hoped the people would demand war....they didnt. Finally, we positioned most of our navy in a harbor (great sitting targets) despite the objections of the Pacific Fleet Admiral (and ironically later blamed him for it). We blockaded Japan, choking off their needed oil / steel / rubber supplies and forced them to attack us. We ignored intelligence reports that a fleet was massing and on the way to Peal Harbor.

I could go on and on about how american corporations supplied North Korea and North Vietnam, how we invaded Panama to get back control of their banks that Noriega nationalized (taking away a billion dollar drug laundering operation from Rockefeller), why we invaded without UN support (to keep France out so they dont get oil contracts), etc etc etc.

Yea it is disgusting to me the amount of apathy in the US today.  I try and educate my family everyday but still they will never turn off their tvs or even listen to anything but the government controlled media.  And thats because Americans dont want to go and surch for their news they want it fed to them on a spoon.  They want to sit and go into veg mode as the 4th branch of the gov pumps useless info into theirheads.

I agree abut the NK.  I highly doubt we attack them.  they only thing we have to gain is strategic postition on china.  But that is not enough to attack them seeing as we aleady have afghanistan.

I wish that people would just stop being so freakin ignorant and open up their eyes!!!

Its so obviouse yet so many people dont know.  Somtimes I think a lot of them dont want to know the truth, they just want to live in this fantasy land w here everything is ok and we are still a good democratic country.  Its sad.....

There is nothing crazy about it.

I have for the longest time believed that it is apathy of the american people that is most at fault for everything that is going on now dealing with our government. Too many of us think that "it will never happen to us" or "its not my problem so what can I do about it" or are just so caught up in our individual lives to stop and take a look at whats really going on around us. Some just keep consuming the crap they are fed even knowing that it is bad for them or that something just isn't right. Then there are people like me who can see the b.s. for what it is but don't know what to do about it but go on the internet and try to inform others.

The average american has no clue about Iran and the possibility of oil switching from dollars to euros  and how that would totaly screw our economy. The media would have you believe its all about nukes/terrorism and thats just not the case. Infact our media is now so controlled and full of propaganda its almost like watching a comedy show. Why the hell should I know about what Tom Cruise or Britney Spears is doing for lunch and WHY THE HELL IS IT ON THE NEWS??!!!

I admire admriker444 for the post that he makes here trying to bring REAL information to people. I can understand also why some people here label him as a conspiracy nut because some people just can not ( or refuse to) believe the things that are actually going on in this world.

Ignorance is bliss until what you don't know kicks you in the ass.

There has been a lot of talk about iran. But after all these issues with iraq there was a lot of people against it and a lot of bad publicity was brought around about it. Tony blair from UK got a lot of bad publicity  and so did the american government.

Personally, i'm half iranian and half english. Live in england. But i have family in Iran so if America did declare war on iran i would be very worried about my family. So i do hope it won't ever turn into that.
