Wow, so they make an announcement that they will be load-testing, and they have put down a Frog, just one thing...

THE F#$%^G IDIOTS PUT THE FROG IN THE F#$%^G MIDDLE OF RESTUSS!!!!

These guys are just morons...

I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

In fact, forget the SWG!!!!

    Sounds like best way to load test to me.

    But, it does violate their mass gathering policy, so people gathering around blue frogs may get banned.

    Rofl, its not the first time this has happend.

    But I like the fact they are LOAD TESTING NOW --- Yep -- lets LOAD TEST AFTER WE LAUNCH IT BECAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE.

    These people should be fired plain and simple.   If I launched a project that I had a feeling would not work or would crash to LIVE then came back and said --- Oh oh wait---- I WANT TO LOAD TEST IT NOW please.. while giving no other alternative or solution I would be packing my bags.

    I swear these people do things backwards to often.

    No, load testing after launch is normal.

    Load testing after 3 years is SOE.

    When Sony and Lucas set out to create the NGE, we said, “How can we do this and make it similar to WoW?” We wanted it to be all about Iconic characters like Luke, combat and locking our players into a class. So we created a system that would restrict players and make all professions the same and there would be minimal gameplay around making that change. We definitely borrowed a lot of ideas from WoW that worked and figured out how to make them fit for SWG – Julio Torres (2005)

    The location was suggested by a bunch of people on TC.  They want to be able to test mass amounts of people in one spot, and they need to be attacking each other.  Perfect solution seems to be to stick it in a PvP zone, since people can smell a frog a mile away :P

    I guess that is true, when I did testing for the various expansions the frogs were always a PvP Lag Fest. I often wondered how people could PvP as I had trouble just trying to get equipment from the frog :P

    Makes sense to idiots who capped the pre-CU to have attacks no faster than 1 per second..

    And who made CU not allow more than 1 per 2 seconds...

    Then made the NGE allow 4 attacks PER second and wonder why the servers die when 1/5th the people show up for some fight than would kill it Pre CU...
