Grael and his minions

This monthly event has been a fun one. Grael is some sort of ancient being of great power, and the Raven Hand in Dereth has summoned him. If you want to get a good look at him, check out the video in the June letter to the players. Here is the link.
June Letter
Grael has not made an appearance in the game yet, but his minions have attacked several towns and actually killed the town criers. So far his minions are mostly shadows and some mukkir.
During the first week, several towns were attacked. If one killed the shadow captain of the attack, one could loot a scroll with some reading material, which could be turned in for experience to some guy in Wai Jhou named Kilcrane. During the second week, other towns were attacked. The shadow captains dropped a new item named shadow motes. I gathered up all seven shadow motes, combined them, and got a shadow shard. During the third week, the shadows were pushed out of the towns to nearby locations just outside the towns. This time, we had to kill several waves of shadows. The shadow captain opened up a gateway to a dungeon upon his death. Inside the dungeon, we fought mukkir, and a mukkir general was carrying a part to a device. I got device pieces from 7 different shadow camps, and combined them together for the full device. I then combined the device with my shadow shard from the previous week. I went back to Kilcrane, who gave me another experience reward, and then I gave the device to another NPC (can't remember name) who kept the device and asked for any other items related to grael's minions. I'm guessing the fourth week will be the conclusion to this line of quests, and I can't wait to see what it is.

Week 4 was a beach... Kill Mukir spawns at Arwic crater, loot amulet, eqp amulet, enter The Breech portal, fight high level shadows and mukkirs en-route to a level 999 Shadow Void that 1 hit kills people, After Void is dead go thru portal it summons, head to wai jou, give Killcrane amulet recieve title and 99 million XP reward, Give nitebane amulet get Grael's claws U/A weapon or give it back to him for another 99 million XP reward.
