in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
Hey I know it is very early but im buying a new computer within a few months and just wondering if the best hardware out now will still be good when this is released. I know none of you know for sure, im just thinking out loud at the momment.  Im very excited about this game and wish to play it with max everything on (unlike when i did play WoW, everything was low)

Again as i said just thinking out loud if the settings will change that much or if they will use Windows Vista (yes im getting a Windows Vista ready desktop)

    If you're getting something above average (for a gamer), then you will most likely be in good shape for WAR when it comes out. That's what i think, and even maybe with an average computer i think you could be fine too.

    If you don't have to buy anything soon you may want to wait even just a bit longer.  Once Windows Vista comes out with Direct X 10 you will want to make sure your hardware (ie. video card) will be compatible.  No need to upgrade in a couple of months just to upgrade again a few months later.

    As all MMO's need a large user base to stay alive they will most likely keep the minimum req's fairly low (the optimal may be a lot higher) as they won't want to shut out potential players who may not want to buy a new PC.

    My set up is 2 years old, i can see me running WAR ok. AMd athlon 64 3700, XFX 7800gs AGP, 2gb DDR400, ASUs K8N-E Nforce 3, if they make WAR like EQ2 that would be nice, EQ2 managed to have the lower settings tailored for low-average machines but full eye candy on that game needs a beast of a machine

    Thanks for the posts, i think i might just hold off, im not that desperate i can still play some of the recent games but on low settings and runs a bit choppy.  Anyway thanks for the quick replies and i cant wait for this game to come out.
