    the only ones that will be owned will be the people looking forward to thrones of chaos. sad, I thought everybody knew by now that game is Age of Mourning, but under a diffrent name. you know, the game that send people a re-wri disc as a pre-order, the game that had 2 quests, of which one was broke, the game that made people PAY for beta, the game with max 45 people online, the game that scammed pre-orderd, billed them before the game was even shipped.

    Thrones of Chaos is "mourning" under a new name.  The company making it is the same team as before too.... they formed a new company to hide their identities.  Egomancer is even still in charge.  Quoting anything from TOC is just about the same as pissing into the wind.  It'll never happen.  Mourning is dead.  Egomancer is just trying to rip more suckers off of their pre-order money.

    As to AOC?  I could see that one hitting shelves first but it's not going to be a sandbox.  Darkfall is.  Completely different type of game.  Personally I'm watching both.  AOC has interesting ideas... Darkfall does too... I'll probably try both, regardless of which order they come out in.  Well... as long as they both have free trials... or open beta's.

    Thrones of Chaos is being developed by Loud Ant Software LLC based in Portland , Oregon , USA and is composed of a tightly knit group of seasoned professionals who have recently opted to come together and form their own company focused on the MMOG industry. Many have been involved in the gaming industry for years and have held past positions at such organizations as SOE , Blizzard and EA and have been involved in some of the higher profile titles such EverQuestII , Lineage II or World of Warcraft as either coders , artists or designers bringing with them an indispensable wealth of knowledge.

    ya it was such a huge scam that they only accepted 100 orders before they VOLUNTARILY stopped accepting anymore?. lol  Real big scam. Man they must have made out like thieves on that scam.  not that it that even matters anymore since its a completely different company and team building it.

    I´ve been with the game since it was "Realms of Krel" and believe me, it´s a hoax...you can come up with as many names as you wish, the game remains a hoax.

    And if it isn´t it would mean that the people working on it are the most stupid incompetent newbs on the market.

    hehe i've been waiting for darkfall for like 3 years now and i think when its done it will be ok , not great like lots of people think because its the first game they r making , but ok at least. it wont be as good as neither of those other 2 games though because the teams making them have too much experience.
    there was a resume posted in irc chat like 3 weeks ago of one of the devs building that thrones game and it was just crazy. the guy had around 18 years experience a few college degrees and had senior job spots at blizzard and ea a few years ago.
    i'll try to find it again

DID YOU EVER THINK THAT the new company who bought everything also OWNS those domains and is just redirecting all the old traffic to the new site?   WOW what a concept!  LOL! If they were NOT doing that than than you would say something stupid like  "oh see look , they made a completely new site to trick people into thinking it's a completely new game"  LOL!!!

    because they're not redoing the entire game. they are just upgrading parts of it and improving it. theres new stuff being released every week.

DVD instead of a quality product is indeed a scam. Charging 15$ a month to play a beta is indeed a scam.

    Darkfall may release yet, but I really have to agree with you that after so long in development, players may move on to other mmos.  I don't know if they'll move onto Throne of Chaos, though . . .

    All I have to say is that Darkfall better launch with every single feature 100% working and have limited bugs.  It should be a totally polished mmorpg at launch with all this time they are taking in development.  I mean, come on already . . . part of being a successful mmorpg these days includes the games development cycle.  There is just too much competition.

    Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos will beat Throne Of Chaos 300 times.

    In fact, I'm going to install it right now, <3 Westwood.

    It's the only game that's the disc is intact still from my childhood and UFO Defense which is on floppies. :D

    Even though it has been in dev for quite a long time, it will undoubtedly have some problems on release. However as long as they do their beta testing right, they should be able to keep these down to a minimum. There should at least be some sympathy for teething problems. Games may not always launch well, but a year or two down the line this can change dramatically a la Saga of Ryzom. It doesn't sound like Roma Victor is doing too hot at the moment, but who knows whether in a year's time this may have also turned around. I do agree with you though that these types of games really should be more finished than they actually say they are on 'release'. Lets just hope that is the reason behind the delay - they are a company who want to do it right for a change. Of course, it may fail dramatically and fail to deliver on promises made. I will eagerly wait and see.

    Yeah I used to love C&C. Until they made it too too fast. And stupid. Can't beat good old NOD/GDI battles on C&C the original. Red Alert 1 was good too.

    And good judgment there blaze.
