I think it's still wishful thinking to assume "original classic" = pre-CU. The devs have to make a distinction somehow, between the original game universe (the original 10 planets, the original races, etc) and those which followed on in the expansions (Space with JTL, Kashyyyk with ROTW, Mustafar with TOOW, and so on). How else are they going to distinguish "all the stuff before the expansions came out?" I don't even think it's trickery. I just think it's how they are distinguishing the original content from the expansion content.... it's "what you'd get if you didn't have any of the expansions" + "all the expansions." But it's a lot easier and more intuitive for them to say it the way they did.
The ONLY people who could possibly interpret it as "pre-CU servers" would be the poor folks on this forum still thinking somehow SOE will do right by this game. I feel for ya, I really do... I loved pre-CU too. But it's dead. SOE isn't bringing it back. Its' time to let go.

I am not sure how to say this, but, me thinks someone is lying....I am a manager at Gamestop/Eb Games, and there IS an item listed (see Link)http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=646657. This item is also listed in our internal store computers as well, unfortunatly we have no further info, than what is given...So either Lucasarts is lying to my company, or they are lying to us gamers, You be the judge.
Classic Game, Original game, is the First game launched. That means Star Wars Empire Divided, not Pre-Cu version, so unless they oficialy claim it's a real pre-cu version, you should read they will do what they did with Everquest Platinum and Titanium, meaning a pack with the original and all expansions, after all the changes.
I hate to spoil your fun, it also spoils mine tbh, but unless they say it's pre-cu, read it like a all in one package.

LucasArts and SOE will be launching a new Galaxies compilation at retail stores in the fall. It will include the base game, all the expansions, and a few bonus items. No new gameplay content is planned for it. We’ll be releasing more details soon.
If this true and it is Pre-CU SWG [or classic SWG] then it would be awesome . My only question in relation to this would be, why wait so long? However, knowing how SOE likes to spin words I suspect they are talking about the NGE and all the expansions to it.
My suggestion to SOE; be bold and tell everyone whether this is prep-work for the release of pre-cu server. If it is, SOE will make a lot of people happy; not to mention the anticipation for it would be incredible.

Garva Dev Tracker I'm talking about someone who isn't a complete liar. Some fanboi squawked at me that all the devs were denying it, and ALL I find now, wth your help, is GARVA.

I don't see what the big deal is. I think when they say Classic they mean the original copy (SWG:ED) you could buy. It will still be the crappy NGE nobody likes. They should realize what people will think when they say it's the classic one, but it wouldn't be the first time they said something stupid (nor the last)
And unlike the one post at their forums said, no I don't think they are planning an expansion. You don't call something Complete then add something to it later.
It is still the NGE in my opinion. I hope that I am wrong, but seriously, they have never released the NGE with the newest expansion, so that is all that is going on here.

The site says that it is an actual product, but there is absolutely no description. Its definately a game though. It recommends high end graphics cards, and GAME CONTROLLERS.....You know. The same type of controllers you use to play XBox, PS2, Nintendo.....There is even a Picture of the controller. The Logitech Dual Action Game Pad..
So....How can Pre-CU or even CU be played with a Game Pad? The old Toolbar alone was 12 slots. Not to mention the 2 mouse buttons. To play with a controller, it would have to have atleast 14 buttons. Although the site recommends a Gaming Keyboard....why would they even mention a Game Pad?
I also noticed that this new Star Wars Galaxies: Complete is both Published AND Developed by Lucas Arts. Out of curiousity, I looked at the Star Wars Starter Kit. It also says that it is both Published and Developed by Lucas Arts....However when I looked on Gamestop for Star Wars Galaxies: An Empre Divided....there were no matches found.
After searching on the net for descriptions of An Empire Divided, they all said that they were developed by Lucas Arts/SOE. This new Complete game is only Lucas Arts. Just like the Starter Kit. Uh Oh
from what ir ead in this thread most of you are saying you guys who have already bought the game would buy the game again and start over if SOE put it out, without knowing if they will change it again?
Just go emu, you save money and at least its trustworthy or more trustworthy then SOE

Once again spend months and months on a toon grinding, getting loot on someones server like in UO shards only to have this happen. No thx. At least all my toons still exsist if I wanted to go back to SOE SWG (which I don't)

eXiled and PURESWG seem to be the 2 best servers with eXiled being in the lead....

How is it possible the article was released but yet it has a release date of July 20th? I mean does someone have a time machine and went ahead into the future? I mean usually companies release the press release on the date which it says not a few weeks or days before hand with a date from the future placed on them. I do not know what to think at this time but I will let you know. It was just an observation of mine.
