Im confused
Okay let me start..EqII makes me SICK! WoW...dont even bother...ffxi one of my favourite mmos but dam o dam does it ever take a long time to get into a party..Now lineage II...of of the few games that really got my eyes attention..Grind? what the HELL is that people say that all the time but i dont bloody know what that is lol sorry for the noob question so let me see if i can do this in an organzied manner
1.What the heck is Grinding?
2. I dont care about the monthly fees but i care about getting ripped off..is there a good chucnk of added things to do..good quests...insansly looking monster(by the look of it mostly large dragons and boy oh boy do i love my dragons lol)
3. Community..Worse then WoW? or Smarter..if u can please just give me some info on the community i read what the reviews on MMO had to say abotu it but i want the players opionon..like if i get in a good clan or guild can i avoid whatever it is that is causing this low commiunity problem.
4. Have i annoyed you enough yet? lol

Grinding is usually considered to be the person killing a certain mob or mobs over and over until they reach the next level.
Edit; btw I don't really know much about Lineage 2 I just wanted to help a little by answering your first question so hopefully other people can help to enlighten you on your other questions.

im not being sarcastic either. grinding is
beating on mobs for the sole purpose of leveling or gaining adena
that is, beating on mobs with no quest purpose..and the same mobs for approximately 3 levels. oh and keep in mind the time between levels can take hours..and hours
quests? there are a few, but most are not very rewarding. some repeatable quests, but stepping aside and doing most quests as opposed to "grinding" good mobs which have better xp and sp, as well as adena is not very lucrative
community? all i can speak for is my server. lionna. community is very political..VERY political in how it handles the seals and alliances. even the clans that dont roleplay..end up roleplaying due to this political conflict
if you want to see what i mean just visit the l2 forums and look at the "Chaos" and "Invincible" threads and learn the origins of these big alliances.
on lionna, you will see how politics become a huge part of the game.

Played on the Erica server for two months. Community was poor, bots everywhere, little to no quests.. all there is grind grind grind.. If you like that sorta thing and kind a good group of people this may not be a bad thing.
Played a cleric until lvl 38 and looked for the walk thrus on job changes to bishop at 40..
The graphics are quite nice, the lag could be prety bad at times. Basically the grindfest let me catch up on a few audiobooks.
I would of liked this game more if I knew what the value of certain items were when i went to sell to other players. I like the auction house format as opposed to a million individual shops where you don't know if your getting gauged or not :
Economy is way out of wack and I refused to buy gold from online merchants. Sso what does that lead to? yep more grind. wahoo.
The biggest reasons why I left were that bishops "supposedly" have a hard time find a group and b)bots and c) economy and d)GRIND
There might be politics but as an outside observer just coming up in levels I didn't see any of this.

2. Lineage 2 is pure eye candy. This is an asian MMORPG.
3. Community. Harsh and smart at the same time.
Cheaters or not, the alliances of Lineage 2 have some
incredible leaders. There's trash talk, alot ingame and
alot on the forums. Some are serious, some are just
ingame politics. Remember, if you are a prick to others
in this game, make sure you got the balls and levels
to fight.
okay okay u guys are killing me with this slang here...so let me see lets see if you all can teach a complete noob some tricks..okay starts with the heck are bots..are we talking about computer run players..and how can that get annoying, okay another thing what the heck is PvE and PvP well..that is pretty much what i can think of at the moment but if you can answer those for me i should be able to think of some more, right now im so 50/50 for playing lineage II...so many ups and so many downs so far.

PVP : Player vs Player --- You killing other people that play the game
Bots : Program that levels your character for you. It controls your
character to kill mobs over and over while you sit there and watch
it or leave it alone for a few hours.
okay well i made an account and they gave me a free 7 ddays but then they ask me for my credit card information. i wanted to know if i cancel my account before the 7th day is up will i still be charged if so then i dont want to make an attempt to fill out the information

I notice that you are a member of this site for almost a year and you have been playing some MMO, but how in hell can't you know these basics terms like PvE, PvP.
Anyway, I am not sure about your taste in MMO, but Lineage II is a grind fest= meaning, the only way to level is to go kill creature around town for XP (XP=Experience point that you need to gain a level)(Level=With a level you gain more power and strenght).
To see anyone in the community, you will have to be High Level. Remember, people are playing for a while now and there is not many people in the low area.
Control are horrible, like all the other Korean MMO out there.

I have a question. In your first post you say EQII makes you sick and WoW, don't bother but then you say in a later post that you are considering WoW and EQII......
Then you asked what PvP is? Brother you is in trouble going to L2 and don't know what PvP is..........
I would STRONGLY suggest you take a look at some websites because I really don't think you understand what you are getting into. Its a great game but you need to know whats its about....or you are in for a shock and a half!
I can not stress enough the fact that you need to understand what you are getting into with this game. Its like getting sent into a battle and never being shown what a rifle is. Your odds of surviving are slim to none.
