Eve Online (?)
Comments
EVE Online.
first, try eve-online
give it not only the 14-days trial, it needs some more time, before you really will understand what the game is about. So I suggest, give it the trail + a first 30 days subscribtion.
First thing to do, after the tutorials,
get contact to either one of the bigger corps and join their newbie corp,
or get contact the the people in the starter corp.
(at this point, you mabye want to create a new charakter, cause your first one lost 14 days worth of training, for whatever you want to do in eve, so maybe create a new one and transfer some money to the new char)
Start to get contacts, alot of them.
Play the game,
listen to advices, make a small fortune, buy your first cruiser.
After that,
do what ever you like.
Or quite the game, if at this point the game did not start to make fun ...
even when I must admit, that there are some cases of eve addictated that needed even some more time to become eve fanatics
And people saying it takes more then 14 days to learn about eve.. pfft, all you got to do is go to any thread on this damn forum for any discussion whatsoever and find about 10 pages of eve discussion
If you're looking for a game to play just for fun/casual play WoW is your game.
If you're looking at anything that requires dedication and work, look the past gen MMOs (AO, AC, EQ, etc)
if you like relaxing sci games , eve for sure
if you like team based action -> guildwars

Everything else is just a kiddie pool.
if your playing eve-online several hours per day, each day of your trial ... its a total different situation.
though if your doing this, the game seems to attract you anyway
well you could always play eve online =o and try to get a titan class ship .-.
Have you ever ventured into 0.0 space?
i wouldnt even go into 0.0 if i was in a titan....people are crazy in that game.
When you are in a fleet battle its pretty amusing, assuming you don't lag out. Being in a fleet that takes out a station/POS is impressive.
Assuming also that you don't mind waiting months of real time for skills to get decent enough to survive out there in 0.0 (can't "skill up" by doing anything, you set the skill, and it trains by itself, taking progressively longer, such as weeks/months for higher end skills to get anywhere), assuming you have a decent corperation to join that's active during your playing times... Then it's fun.
And most decent corperations don't accept 14-day trial members, and really fun corperations tend to have a 4-5 million skill point requierment... which takes many months.
