Star Wars Galaxies: Galactic Tales

Star Wars Galaxies has unveiled a new feature for their official website. This one is called "Galactic Tales", and is a thread in the forums that showcases player stories:

 

Introducing Galactic Tales – a bi-weekly story writing thread on the forums that will showcase fictional pieces created by our players (and based on a given theme)! Do you have writing talent? Show us what you've got!

    Here's a story:

    A few years ago, SOE created an MMORPG called Star Wars Galaxies. Things were going good for SWG until one day, something terrible happened.

    SOE introduced it's other creation, the CU to SWG. The CU shot SWG in the face. The CU then left and the NGE came. A voice from the heavens said "Finish Him", and the NGE pistol whipped SWG a few times. Today, the SWG still remains where it has been since NGE pistol whipped it, slowly dying everyday.

    The End.

    And this little crazy SOE attached strings to the stiff body and kept pulling at the strings shouting :

    "Look at it !! It´s not DEAD!! It´s moving!! It´s alive...."

    ...and everybody felt sorry for poor SWG and crazy SOE and  everybody was very sad.

    How sad is it that the devs are now focusing more on getting players to "play" their forums instead of the game?

    Heh... I just like the fact that they want people to write a meaningful story in 500 words... That sure leaves a lot of space for character building, story flow and what was the rest they wanted to have in it?

    500 words is... well... just enough to write an introduction to a story, unless you want something that sounds like it's been written by a five year old. Not that five year olds don't have some great stories to tell, mind... Hmm...
