Should I Return????

in Everquest II

Hi all...

I've been on EQII since the 1st day,  after about 12 months I got fried, and close my account for a vacation. but 5 months later I came back. I lasted up until Kingdom of Sky came out, then I burnt out again, and decided to take another break, that was about 2 months ago.   Now that the new adventure pack is out and another expansion is around the corner, I feel the need for pulling out my Necro, and blasting away some baddies.. Can anyone tell me if the the adv pack is better than the last one? and if the new expansion will have somthing more impressive than the wall climbing in KOS

    The new adventure pack is good from what I've seen so far.  I haven't done too terribly much with it yet, but I've liked it so far.  It doesn't scale to your level the way Splitpaw though.  As for the expansion, are you sure you didn't leave after Desert of Flames?  Climbable walls were added in DoF, not KoS.  There are a lot of climbable walls IN KoS, but they weren't added there.  Regardless, KoS is a signifigantly better expansion than DoF, with achievement points, PvP, and more content.  I've had more fun in the first 5 levels in KoS than I did all throughout DoF.

    The next expansion is looking awesome as well.  They're adding a new starting city (Kelethin) and a new race (the Fae).  They are also NOT raising the level cap (thank god), and the new expansion will add new zones for all existing levels.  It should be massive, and frankly I can't wait.

    Your right, DoF had the climbable walls,  I did also get KoS but didnt give it a chance before I left..

    Well Good News.. I'm back in and it is Awsome.. I can't believe I put EQ2 down for those few months.. The achievement system is nice, the KoS zone and addiontional raid zones awsome. 

    I will admit I tried 30 days of WoW, it lasted 10 days, and 12 lvls.. and now I can't see why anyone would move from Eq2 to WoW..  The 2 MMORPG's aren't even in the same clase.. I would compare WoW to Diablo, or GuildWars.. hehe... Anyway if you left EQ2 and considering comming back I would Highly recommend that you give it a RETRY!!!!.. 

    P.S. Don't forget the Expansion's DoF and KoS.
