Ok so I am very new to the game and have my brother as a tuitor. I am learning the basics vut have a very rudimentary knowledge of the job structure. After my brothers explanation of the job classes I am thinking a dark knight sounds pretty cool at lvl 30. So I guess my question would be what is the best job to start with to help with Dark Knight? Also, if you have any favorite job structures you would like to share that would be fantastic as well. Just gotta say I love this site and the forums..everyone has been very helpful. Thanks

Dark Knight is a really awesome job, but I'm speaking from experience when I say that the job will test your patience only because the party invites aren't as frequent as say, what a warrior/ninja would get. If you can help it, party with people you know and it'll be smooth sailing. Start with a warrior if you're going to eventually do Dark Knight. When you hit WAR18, I recommend getting the subjob quest in Selbina, and your brother can probably help you with that. Then I would recommend leveling Thief (subbing /war now) until at least 18 again, and then you can pick up where you left off on Warrior, but now you have the /thf sub. The reason I say level Thief and not Monk is that you'll likely need to use /thf later on in your Drk career. When you hit 30 as a War/Thf, you can do the Drk flag quest, and start your Drk career soon afterwards. Then do Drk/War forever, but between 60-70 you may need to sub Thief to get in a party. I find Drk/Nin is a great way to solo, so don't be afraid to try different jobs.
