MMORPG.com scoring system update idea

I find the score system very interesting but it fails at scoring at a determined time / period thus not being trully objective as the time passes. It would be nice if it can be done some kind of graphic depicting score vs time so we can see the ups and lows of the game and check, for example, if a "8" is a stable "8" right now or it was a 9 and now it's going down, or the oposite.

It would be too a nice tool for analisis and debates.

I know you database register the time when each score is submitted, becuase it's in the user comments.

PD: best example, you know, Star Wars Galaxies.

PD: As a side note would be nice to couple the data with the one at mmogchart.com.it's data can be downloaded in MS Excel .xls format.

    I like the idea.

    I'd extend it also with press releases about the game. Any news item posted in this site would be a bullet along a second line tracking the rating over time.

    How about this.

    The more points you have and, and most of all, the longer you have been here, the more voting power you should have in order to vore for a game.

    I like the idea too. I would be pretty funky to see what the scores are over a certain time period, would certainly make it a little more interesting.

    My only suggestion, there's a forums thats dedicated to Site Suggestions.

    Magicstar, mhhh nahh, every opinion is equaly valid. The only problem is sometimes old opinions are about a game it is not the same. MMORPG development fluctuate, so this is why I just ask for a system to let people see the history track of the games. How they did in the past, how are doing now and if the tendency is to grow even more or to decrease. Right now, having just an average measure doesent mean nothing because some games have been gone through many changes and old opinions are not longer objective to score for the nowadays said game.

    If you have an histogram of the scores you can see, more or less, how the state of the game is.

    LOL watch the alliance championships on EVE-TV next weekend and tell me there's no skill involved in EVE.

    ..This thread isn't asking for your thoughts on the current MMOs. Anyway, I like the idea. The games change and the reviews shoudl change with them. Take SWG for example. Completely different game from when it started. New players could see the 90 degree drop in the ratings and keep on looking.

    It would be nice if they would give everyone a top 3 list and make a ranking based off of that.  We get too many votes.
