This looks like another Korean grindfest.

I don't care if the officials say that it's the best Korean game of the year in Korea. Those people just like to grind, no matter how they put it. I fear that this game is doomed to be the same. It's just the same rehash in a new backround, but the Koreans will never come to their senses enough to realize this.

From what I have read, it looks pretty fun. But we won't really know how much of a "grindfest" it is until we actually play it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I guess.

How come no one said that about the other martial arts MMO? That turned out to be a korean grindfeast...

But anyway, I have some faith in Aclaim. I don't think they'de put their name behind worthless crap.

I think a lot of people are just judging the game based on the screenshots they have here, without reading anything about the game itself.

Also, here is a quote from someone who has actually played the game "The exp grind seem light for a Korean game", so I guess the "grind" won't be as bad as you think.

  •  the only thing i'm wondering now is that..... is it going to be big lag....? i definitely don't want that kind of thing...but since we're gonna be testers , i don't think there will be big lagg...........BTW, can u guys give me links to learn more about this game.....effective links*

Actually, since we are going to be testers, we will probably get a LOT of lag. Lag is one of the things they smooth out during testing. When the game goes live though, the lag should be cut down to almost none.

And here is a good info link: http://pc.ign.com/objects/792/792880.html

You can't say the games a grindfest before you played it.

While it may be, may not be, it still looks like a good game, nonetheless.

You will be surprised by how different the exp curve of this game is to the other Korean games out there. The exp curve is very light at low and mid level and become very steep at high level.

I guess the purpose of this kind of exp curve is to allow people to reach the level where they can participate in fun event like PvP and instanced dungeon quickly but prevent players to reach the level cap too quickly.

The game has 18 level of achievement in wu-gong follow the traditional way of catagorizing wu-gong achievement in martial arts novels with very similar names.

Each of these level of achievement is divided into 12 sub levels.

In addition to gaining exp from monsters, a decent portion of exp come from quests. Lol, you heard it right, from quests, WoW style.

This game follows the spirit of the martial arts world pretty closely. To know wu-gong and have fun is easy, to be a true master at wu-gong is very hard.

  • thanks akiki for the link .......... appreciate it....
