in Silkroad Online

there isnt any point to this game except killing it boaring and verry child like

    Just because you can't level up further then 3 doesn't mean this is a bad game, the graphics are way better then allot of P2P games like WoW, and yes grinding is whats the main point in this game, but that makes you respect your char more likely because you are giving it allot of time.

    I tried Silkroad, but i think it lacks the amount of customizability it could have, you can't even change your skin tone for free, only for real money, and that made my friend mad.  He wanted to make a black guy because he was trying to make his character resemble himself, but its hard when there is only 8 people to choose from, you cannot even change the color of the hair or anything.  The Quest system doesn't work as good as it could, and the interface took some time to getting used to.  A lot of menus.

    Bah, the game does have serious problems though, if you just grind constantly the game gets boring, that and silkroad has so me of the worst lag I've ever seen.

    The inability to change skin tones is inteded, as the game is set in an ancient, fantasy China and therefore the characters are designed to look Chinese or have a form of Chinese influence.  If you looked at the European characters that will be released for the Korean servers in the upcoming Europe patch they all have European looks and influences.

    I liked it for the first 10 levels, then I began to wonder if I would next have to kill even more to get 1 quest done. Well when I have to grind on the same mob for hours, killing 600 or 800 of them it gets just plain boring. Also these player run stalls are not something I like, one for filling the streets with ##¤|||ALMOUST FREE STUF HEERE|||¤#. Couldn't live with that.

    I don't like this game, it's laggy and no funny.

    The game is way too good for a free game ( almost free  )

    in my opinion its the best online free game

    and dont judge it now

    cuz its still a beta version

    wait for the official and i can tell its gonna be  #1 game in the world

    It's not beta now, but they hardly improved it to be honest. Game has good graphics, but is full of bots, highly exploitable and buggy (you got error message in korean when it crashes ).

    The main problem is, that it quickly becomes boring. There are 70 character levels in the game and more or less the same number of monster types. Typically you have one monster to grind to next level.  On higher level it takes a week to advance. You'll spend this week on the same place killing the same monster many hours and thousands times. And over again.

    Quests are dumb and boring: kill 600 chakji workers, kill 200 hungyo ghosts, kill 600 earth ghosts and over again. Again the same - many hours (sometimes days), the same place, the same monster.

    I liked this game for a while, but then I got sick of:

    1. botters
    2.lag
    3.repetitive quests.

    I was looking for good mmorpg for a long time. And i think i found one here. I cant really understand u, guys. I mean what to expect form quests? To go somewhere, to kill something? What do u want more? To jump of the building roof? wtf. What i ilke in this game, that it is quite hard tu upgrade a weapon, or to find a good drop. At the moment im at lvl 20 and i really enjoy playing it. I participated in WOW beta, and i somehow i like silkroad more. Its just more playable imo. BTW, there is a way to change skin colour without paying for it. U know, some guys are selling silks for gold. What i like is if you want to pay - you pay. If not - you dont.


    P.S. And sorry for my english. If you have any problem with it, just remember it is not my mature language.

    That's funny, you know. Just about every MMORPG I've played has a better quest system. Most of them were done a lot better than SRO's super ordinary generic way of doing them too.

    Game likes Silkroad Online, L2, Maple Story, etc, happen, because some gamers don't set their bars high enough.

    And if you want to see the game that sux, plz, click in the baner, and see what your "imagination" can do with this "martial arts" game calles Hero. My imagination died quickly, just after reaching lvl 15.

    Silkroad is funny until you reach level 20. Then it quickly  becomes boring, especially when you see how much unbalanced, exploitable and unusable is the whole trade system, and how much this game favors botters.

    Im not saying that this game wont be boring later. Ill play, ill see. But for now it is quite good imo. And as the free game, it is much better than most of them.

    cool that theyre gonna have europe etc. and i play this game i love it its great not just grind and graphix rule and pet system is reeaaalllyyy cool too just plain love it the perfect game ( at LEAST almost)

    well not hating the game or anything but very much dislike the grind as in all mmorpgs but there is only a small group of monsters created for this game and the group of characters is kinda funny. if i didnt read about this game i would think its just a lineage gone bad and they gave up on it long ago

    I thought the same thing when I first played it, and I did play it for a while. Essentially, it's a beautiful looking game that has 95% potential 5% delivery, that currently caters to the gamer who has a farming mentality.

    It's not quite a Major League MMORPG yet, but it could be.

    And yes, here's some elitism for you. If Joymax made the game subscription-based, it would be a much better gaming experience, because 99% of the anti-social gaming lamers would be forced off the game.

    I wouldn't say this game totally sucked. But I will say that it has very poor performance and lag issues. Also the combos didn't seem to have a lot of variety. There was little damage difference between various specials and it usually boiled down to which used the least amount of mana. Otherwise it had very nice graphics and an intricate alchemy system so it isn't such a bad game. If you like waiting to get into a server then this is the game for you because for a free game it is certainly a quality product.

    Silkroad, its true, does have alot of endless grind but i find that the quests and the graphics are what really make the game good. there is so much skill custimization and skills also look really good graphic wise. this game is a eally goo d combo the only problem is the character stats and the char choosing. the char stats first. there are only two character stats int and str. i wish they had put more things in like dexterity and stuff. the character choosing is also limited because there r only like 8 ppl. overall though i think its a really good game.

    You might go into detail about why you didn't like it, with a rating of 8, I would say many disagree with you. As a matter of fact I am going to try in right now and if I agree I will post what I think about it and why.
