DAoC or Lineage 2?

I've been trying to figure out a decent MMORPG to get. Which should I get? I have some questions.

In lineage 2, I heard you have to cheat to stay competitive, is this true?

Are there a lots of bots in L2?

I  heard in L2 you lose Xp when you die, and sometimes you can lose gear, how much XP do you lose? And what's the percentage of the chance that you will lose an item? And if you die in PVP, do you lose XP and gear? Or is it just PVE?

What's so great about the PVP in DAoC?

Which has better PVP?

In DAoc will I have trouble finding people to play with? Because DAoC is old.

Thanks in advance!

I am not a casual gamer, I can play for a couple hours every day, so time comitment isn't an issuie.

One more question, I've been thinking, is L2 really frustraing and hard? This sounds a lot like FFXI, and FFXI was one of my least favorite games, if  I hated FFXI, will I hate L2?

Never played L2, but done alot of DAoC.

DAoC also has xp penalty from death, but you regain some of you go to the place you died (there'll be a tombstone) and pray at it. No sense of reward without a sense of risk :) You can't delevel though, unlike some korean MMOs, but even if L2 has that it's really not as bad as it sounds as long as you're aware.

The good things about DAoC's PvP is the depth in class variety and their group utilities. Instead of bland tank, dps, cc, heal classes there's different people for different situations and none can handle every situation perfectly or kill every other class alone (always exceptions to the rule, but you have to know what you're doing to excel).

There were still alot of people playing when I left. The newbie PvP areas were mostly empty because people are busy getting to the endgame areas.

You say time commitment isn't an issue, but should you go to Camelot, pick a classic server :) that will save you for pve grinding at the end to level artifact items into a competive state for PvP, and classic servers have ranged restrictions on buffs to demote the use of bots.

Hope you have fun with the one you go for ^^ Mind, if there's trials available I'd recommand having a look at both instead of going by others' opinions.

I was in the very end beta test for L2 and it was absolutely terrible.  I heard a lot of really great things about that game and was completely let down within an hour of playing.

I would definitely not recommend it.

Are there bots in L2? Some

Are there bots in DAoC? Every one have 1 if you play on regular servers,if you dont have you cant kill no one in pvp.!0% of classic population have one.(this game in europe ofers one 2nd account wen you buy catacombs so you can have your bot)

In L2 if you PK somone and that person does not respond, your name will turn red at a point, wen it is red if somone kills you,you can drop an item. You lose xp wen you die just like DAoC.

You dont lose xp doing pvp on DAoC and you lose much less xp on pvp zones on L2.

What´s sp great about pvp in DAoC? Group vs Group lots of technic to win

Wich has beter pvp? Depends Group vs group DAoC > L2   kip takes  L2 > DAoC  open pvp L2 > DAoC  politics that make guilds do pvp and pvp events L2 > DAoC

In DAOC will i have troble finding people to play with? Yes every one is lvl 50 and servers are empty unless you play at garret that have 1k+ players. On lineage2 most servers are full.

Lineage2 is more hard core than DAoC.

    Ex DAOC player 2.5 years

    L2 player 1 year

L2s a fair amount of Grind and repitition.

It gets boring fast and is fairly the same as every other thousand fantasy MMOs out there with just a few tweaks to make it different.

L2 realy frustrating hard?  It takes so many time do lvl has FFXI but you can solo thill the end  unlike FFXI and is easier to find group.

Xp in lineage 2 is much faster than it was at reliese, dont listen flamers

Both DAoC and L2 are good games

Thanks a lot guys, I am going to go with DAoC. And I heard leveling was easy and fast in DAoC, so I guess I will be alright. Thank again! :)

And one other question, in DAoC, what is an easy class for a newbie? I don't really want to be a Tank, or a magic user? So what's another easy class? I don't want to make the same mistake I did in FFXI, I used a Red mage ><
