Although they are "looking into" DKs andl will "test different scenarios" and blah blah blah.

Let's all face it, WoW is 100% PVE with a littlle PVP painted on. World PVP will never be what people want it to be - Blizzard should give up their resuscitation attempts and let it rest in peace.

As they stated in a now deleted post (the "Sand"-post in US forums that counted 25+ pages), they want World PVP to be "spontaneous" and "non-obligatory to participate in". City raids and alike is considered organized PVP which is something they don't want in WoW... since it's not "spontaneous". The problem with organized PVP apparently was that "everyone and their neighbor" would participate! Exactly how clueless can they get?

Blizzard introduced DKs in cities to reduce ganking, which people were complaining about. Also, players were complaining that town npcs were being attacked, which were needed. I never had an issue with this myself, but apparently a lot of other people did.

Imo, Blizzard is discouraging city raids because their servers can't handle the load. I know the few times my guild raided Orgimar we crashed the continent server.

Like the adjusted instances, imo this is a quick fix to meet the community's demand for more world pvp. Realistically, I don't see much else being done until expansion is released.

Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.

thats exaclty right, there servers cant hold the load! blizzard is doing it cheap, spending less money on the game more on them selves >:[

if they dont want pvp to be organised then take away battlegrounds "join as group" that makes pvp organised :S

a simple way to resolve civilians from dieing is making civilians untargetable.. easy as that

Mostly, I agree. I've no idea if the server issues are beyond current technology, but I really hate the lag on my main server, Azgalor.

I don't mind battlegrounds personally. The recent news is hopefully an early step in fascilitating world PvP. Imo, world pvp is more dynamic and interesting.

I've rarely paid heed to DKs; if a civilian is in my way, they get killed. ^_^
