  I think tyrell is one of the biggest corporations with about 240 members. And it is a corp that is very friendly for new players aswell as experienced player. There are more big corps like Everlasting Vendetta or the British Space corporation but I now them just by name.

  Nice to see the BSC get a mention, though we're not the sort of mega-corporation you might expect - we regularly cull our inactive memberbase (though of course with an open invite to rejoin) and as such we're down to around 80 members - making us more mid-sized!

  EVE is a thriving game, unfortunately the provision of well moderated, and distinct official forums does leave many sites out in the cold when it comes to EVE discussion. Pop along to some top fan sites like eve-i.com, eve-radio.com or eveguardian.com and see the community for yourselves!
