Face it, do you know how bad ALOT of people wanted a pre UO:R server on Ultima online? An thats been how many years now? Its over guys your past memorys of SWG is over, maybe the EMU will be your savior, or maybe it wont. Emu servers can be very BAD too, yes they promise the good stuff and they deliver yet server unstability and alot of things can happen.

FAce it Pre-NGE and SWG all together is dead. Go play EQII or WoW till a new sandbox game comes out =/

Yep, playing GW in spare time. and 6 months on the dot, Chapter 3 is coming out. With lots of new goodies. That's a company you can count on.

Sorry, need to turn my barker bot off.

    Anywho, back to SWG.

EMUs aren't all about bringing the latest greatest experience. Especially not with a social (unique in this aspect) game that was SWG. While I have often raised potential problems waiting on players of emus, they'll serve their purpose.

In addition, emus come just in time for the final SWG transformation, which, for better or worse, will be better off without the pre-cu crowd.

How many people do you think petitioned to bring back UO to what it was?? more then half of the playerbase. Once a company is dead set on changes players have no say, just like what it is, or play something else.

SWG has fewer subs now than UO has years after they did their NGE.

yeah, that'd been done (petitioning) and it doesn't work.  So what does a person do to play pre-CU now?  They hope someone releases an emulator.  What else can one do but hope?

in the meantime, yeah, we play other games.

tried it as well.  Twice.  Doesn't even come close, the avatar animations are very far from SWG's motion-captured animations.  I couldn't get over how werid it played.

I found SOR the same, I did not give it much chance, primarily because right off the bat I didnt enjoy the simple look and feel of the game.

The funny thing is, Ive never played SWG whatsoever, pre-nge or not. Yet im currently looking for a mmo, and all the talk ive heard from people who miss the old SWG has me paying close attention to SWG updates, be it official or not. I think that says something about what the game once was, being that im quite interested in something ive never played, even if it is word of mouth.

Well, they are French. All the motions are modeled after Jerry Lewis.

SWG is US and they used Benny Hill animations.

never thought I would say this but people who liked Pre-Cu (like me) are a different breed of MMO players than any out there. SWG back then was so hardcore, unlike now.

I also tried SOR on two different occasions. I just couldnt get into it at all. I tried the second time for about 6 weeks and gave up. I found very little about it enjoyable and much of it was just plain odd.

A broken Pre-CU emu's better than... pretty much every other MMO out on the market. And the vast majority of single player games as well.

Good thing they're not half a**ing it, though.
