Was just thinkin' about....

in Final Fantasy XI
Hi all,
I played FFXI for 1 and 1/2 year, almost 1 year ago.
I'd like to know from you all that are playing, if it's a good idea or not. How's the situation for the "newbie" (not really a nuub anyway ^^'). I've heard that all servers are still full of gillsellers, and the item prices are crazly high...
What do you suggest? I had a great time in that game, so I was thinking to start again, just to play 2/3 hours in the evening....

    Gillsellers are starting to move their way into endgame now, that only really effects you if you're only reason for playing is to get 75 ASAP and then get uber 1337 equipment. As for prices, its only a number. If your only means to make money are killing monsters that drop gil, then the prices on everything will seem outragiously expencive, But if you Use the Auction House And Sell items You'll soon realize that even though somthing is marked for 30k that doesn't take more than an hour of farming.

    If you liked the game before, then you'll prolly like the game again, Not too much has changed about leveling aside from some new area's.

    Which is a good server where I can Join? I was on Fairy, but as long as I remember, the prices and the community was not that great.

    I'm on Shiva and it's been a great server so far. Never down for maintence (unless it's one of the times when EVERY server is down for maintaince) and the community is pretty good.

    now midgardsormr is a great server. it has some sweet Ls's. now i also just started agian. and i only play like 3/4 hours in the evening, and its fine. prices are a little high. but theres ways around that (no not buying gil). but yeah come on back. i personally like midgarsormr the best. PM if you need more details.
