Is Diablo and Starcraft worth buying right now?

I swear, I hear so much about these games yet I have never played it before. I got every Warcraft game (except WoW), but I never played Starcraft. I hear more about Diablo than Starcraft.

Are these games worth my money for the experience?

I cannot speak about Starcraft personally, but I have had a total blast with Diablo 2. My brothers and I would hook up and play often. And for about $20 USD for the game and expansion, it is a great deal.

If you haven't played them, I would definitely give them both a try. I played Diablo and Diablo II for a long time (although I never completed Diablo II). They were fantastic action/rpgs.

Starcraft is among my all-time favorite RTS games. I still have it on my laptop HD and play occasionally, when I am on the road and can't log into Everquest II or Auto Assault.

But . . . if you are just looking for a good action/rpg or a RTS, then I would probably skip the oldies and wait for Titan Quest or go out right now and buy Warcraft III, Age of Empires III, Rise of Nations, etc. There are lots of very good RTS games out. Titan Quest is like Diablo, only it is much more technically advanced, and has a much different setting.

If you have played World of Warcraft, Warcraft III is one of the best RTS games I've played, and it actually has a storyline that leads into the start of the mmorpg (WoW).

I don't know if there will ever be a World of Starcraft, but the storyline in that RTS is also very good, and you can't go wrong with the gameplay. Blizzard knows how to make 'em!

I got the Starcraft WarChest last year for around 19.99

I myself had never played the game until that point.

It was worth it.

I have had Starcraft for like 5-6 years and until this day I have either felt like playing or have played.

Diablo 2 is also amazing! I have played, incredible as well.

Ive never played starcraft but i think it looks pretty cool.

Diablo is worth it. The second one that is. It got addicting at first when i got it, ive had it since it came out. Overall its a game worth getting. Starcraft looks really gun also tho, it looks like it would be worth it, but i have enough RTS games.

Starcraft is very good...well balanced. Some prefer it over WCIII TFT.

Diablo II is very fun but you will seriously burn out after 3 months of nonstop play.

Me and my friends have a rotation every year how we play

January - June = Warcraft III TFT Ladder and DotA
June - August = Super Smash Brothers
August - December = Diablo II LOD

But, trust me Diablo II will die after I say 3-4 months. It's a great game, not saying it isn't. I've been playing it since It came out, just it gets repetitive. Me and my friends always enjoy going back.

Ya for some reason Diablo 2, people play for like 2-3 months. Stop, and then join back in.

Starcraft like above said, is very balanced.

I prefer Zerg but before I used to play with Protoss and Terrain.

Starcraft is an awesome game! My friends and I used to LAN party with Starcraft all of the time.

I would suggest starting with Protoss, although I started with Terran. You will have a lot of fun, IMO, especially if you LAN with others. Personally, I never got into BattleNET that much.

Diablo is okay. Way too easy though. I lasted for about 2 weeks with Diablo II, and then became bored with it.

I'd buy them if you never have. They're pretty cheap right now and stand up to the test of time pretty well. I'd rate Starcraft as the greatest 2D RTS ever made, and it stacks up favorably with most of the games out these days (I even prefer it to Warcraft). I'm playing Starcraft again from start to finish at this moment.

I love the Terrans in Starcraft. Who knew rednecks in space could be so much fun to play.

Yes of course.

You should also buy Starcraft. Imo it's the 2nd most skilled game out there, just loosing to Wc3x(again, it's my opinion). Starcraft is really REALLLLLLLLY awesome.

I just recently bought Starcraft at my local ebgames for $2.

i dont play it , i was addicted to it, years ago. now it's outdated.

Buy Dawn of War and the expansion Winter Assault, its cool

I think they disconnected the diablo servers you can still play lan

Diablo 2 is still going online i think.

I'm playing Titan quest currently which is the same sort of thing.
