Weird, I thought I just replied to a topic, but now I find it is gone and mine is the first post. Anyway, it was a warning to wait for Roma Victor to be more complete before buying it.
I appreciate the warning, although I am too curious about the game to wait. If signs point to improvement, I would actually like to see how things are now so I can track the changes and improvement.
I did this when I tried Seed, a simialr type of project from a small group of devs. They were really on the right track in making a good mmorpg, but they were forced to release it early, and then improvement was not evident in the following month or so.
I am debating about doing this again, but this time, if I do go ahead and buy Roma Victor, I hope it ends differently than it did with Seed.

do keep a watch. DGH keep us updated with server changes and things that they have added. KFR lets us know any major issues that they might be having, and Kanoth is always filling in the gaps.
We are a well informed community and even when things were ugly they told us about them and trust me during the days just before the 2 week preorder things got very ugly:
this is thread he kept us up to date with just before the 2 week release
notice the dates
If you feel you want to take a chance you can order and come back when you feel it is playable by your standards.

The Dragon Legion, Bringing Forth Eternal Light. First Roman Legion of Roma Victor.
Community is a very important aspect of mmorpgs for me. I would not play an excellent mmorpg (design-wise) if the community wasn't my type. A good example would be World of Warcraft.
On the other hand, a mmorpg has to be very functional and have good, fun features, as well as a good community, for me to stay interested. It is the funactionality of Roma Victor I am concern about, but in time, it is something that can be fixed.
